I recommend gluten free frozen desserts. I discovered them in the process of making a girls day lunch for a couple of friends that are gluten free. One particular brand is called Arctic Zero. Amazing and only 35 calories a serving or 150 calories for a whole pint! They come in lots of yummy chocolate flavors and are the…

Hi everyone! My name is Tracy and I joined MFP in June at the suggestion of my Diabetic Dr. and the wonderful instructor in my Spin Class. I'm 48 and I currently weigh 214 lbs :frown:. I haven't set a long time goal yet. I've decided to set small goals like 5lbs at a time, rather than set a large one. I work out 5x-7x wkly…

Hi ladies! I have fine, naturally curly hair. My curls are super tight. I usually wet it everyday, let it air dry and fluff for volume. I stopped relaxers about 8 yrs ago & have never looked back. I was using Motions Naturally You products but they have been recently discontinued. Thx for the info on naturally curly hair…

It sounds crazy & I thought so too but you eat what you burn. Some days I actually struggle to eat the calories I burn because there are so many. If you re doing 6 hrs of cardio wkly, believe me, you will have plenty to eat. 1200 is just a baseline/ starting point. Give it a try. You' ll do fine. :flowerforyou:

You might check your local library. They usually have a great selection of workout videos & the upside is that they are free. I checked one on belly dancing jut to add a little variety & fun to my workout. :blushing:

I agree w/ the frozen fruit option. I freeze a cup of grapes in a baggie & its just like having candy. I also freeze cups of lowfat yogurt & I have instant ice cream. Sometimes a bowl of cereal will hit the spot too. Another option could be a fruit parfait w/ a little cool whip. Put it in a pretty glass/bowl & enjoy!

That's awesome! Keep on keepin on! :flowerforyou:

You, my dear, are not old! Old is a state of mind! My grandfather told me that & he was 99 yrs young at the time. Congrats on making the decision to release the skinny girl from within. Mine has been trapped beneath layers of fat for years & she's dying to get out! Feel free to add me. We can celebrate their…

You look great! Don't give up! It always take us a awhile to see the positive changes in ourselves. You have taken the necessary steps for self improvement & that's wonderful! Keep it up. You will see the changes soon enough. Peace & blessings be yours.

Check out Walk Away the Pounds or Walk at Home videos by Leslie Sansone. Your local library should have them. They are high calorie burn walks that are fun and easy to do. Very little noise. Another suggestion is talk to your neighbor and explain what you are doing and then invite them up to exercise with you. You might…

I don't tell them I'm on a diet because I'm not. I'm changing my lifestyle. Many of my friends are overweight & eating is ALWAYS included in the fellowship/hangtime. I've simply learned to adjust . I find the healthiest options on the menu wherever we go. I look up the menu online & plan for the calories. If there are no…

Wow! 17lbs???? What did you eliminate from your diet?

If you are a couple hundred calories below that's ok. Don't skip meals though. Eat a light salad, soup broth, fruit, raw veggies. Keep going w/ the water. You need it. Hope this helps.

Sounds like fun! I'd love to give it a try. Count me in please!

Amazing! Thank you for sharing your story!

Just do the best that you can do in the time you have. Be careful about what you try. You don't want to hurt yourself. If necessary, get spanx &/or look into letting the dress out. I know you hate the thought, but ....... Above all else, don't stress out about it. Your hubby loves you & at the end of the day, you will…

Try looking up the menu online & decide what to have before you go. If the menu isn't available online, find a similar eatery. Also don't be afraid to ask about low calorie/fat options when you arrive. Another option is to ask them to put 1/2 of your food in a to go box before they bring it to you or do it yourself before…
