Does water help flush out the excess sodium. My doctor says I should reduce sodium because I retain fluid in my ankles. I would think drinking a lot of water would make that worse but then some say that drinking water flushes out the excess sodium and will improve my fluid retention. I'm so confused.

I'm with you chemburly........have trouble with my sodium intake also! I've reduced my goal down to 1750 instead of 2500 because I'm supposed to be on low sodium diet for my blood pressure and I'm struggling with that. :ohwell: We'll get there though won't we!

I'm with you.....i usually use one that somebody else has entered. Who knows if it's that accurate to mine but it's gotta be close. If I compare a few I use the one that I feel is more comparable and lists other nutrients. I if can't decide, I use the highest in calorie.
