  • Cup of nonfat cottage cheese, frozen blueberries on top, and a sprinkling of Stevia or other sweetener… soo good and lots of protein
  • Yes technically it does break your fast.
  • Look into intermittent fasting for him, maybe just no eating after dinner and skipping breakfast. I bet that's all it would take to drop the extra weight fast.
  • I would recommend looking into intermittent fasting. I wish I would have long ago! Over time "only" counting calories will slow your metabolism, forcing you to eat less and less until it's just too low to be sustainable. I fast about 18 hrs a day (only drinking plain sparkling water) and eat 6 hrs, I don't count calories.…
  • Just skip breakfast. I have coffee and some creamer for breakfast so that I can have more calories for lunch and dinner. It helps keep me on track.
  • I loved WW Flex Points system that they had 10 years ago. It was so easy and I lost so much weight so easily. I tried the program a year ago and was so turned off by how much it had changed. My beloved coffee creamer was only 120 calories but WW had it as 7 points! Didnt make any sense to me and was so discouraging I…
  • I did keto for about 4 months last year. I did lose a lot of weight pretty quickly, but I found it hard to sustain long term. I just can't not have pizza or cake ever again, lol. Be warned that if you ever go off of keto you'll gain all the weight back in, like, a week. It's crazy. IMO, counting calories and maybe…
  • Right but how do I figure out what MY macros are? I'm also trying to figure out how this is much different than just taking overall calories. So is the concept if you stay within macros, you'll stay within calories? Sorry for the silly questions, just trying to understand. I've been doing MFP just counting calories for…
  • Sooo I just called and talked to a manager and they are letting me out of the contract and not charging me!!! WOOHOO thank God!! Now to find somewhere else to go... :)
  • That's why I'm so surprised!!! I guess I was naive and had never even heard of a "gym" that didn't have barbells, squat racks, and benches and all that. But they don't! They have the Smith machine and few dumb bells, but that's it!!! :( I feel so ripped off!!!
  • I lose lots of weight while breastfeeding eating at about 2400 calories. Now, I'm nursing a 3 month old and also my toddler so I'm nursing more than normal, I guess, but I have never noticed a supply dip and my babies have been fine.
  • Thats awesome!!!! And youve lost 100lbs???? Thats even more amazing!!! Kudos to you!!!!!
  • Call local churches, they should be able to direct you to help or to a food pantry or shelter.
  • Yes, I believe food addiction is real. Im not as addicted to it as others but there have been times in my life that I JUST. CANNOT. DO. ANYTHING. ELSE until I eat a....whatever, fill in the blank.... Cant think about anything else, cant go to sleep, unless eat or drink this ONE THING.. which usually would lead to…
  • Im a female lifting beginner! I started about 3-4 mos ago doing StrongLifts 5x5. Love it. Its so simple, you just go to the gym and do your 3 exercises a day, 3x a week. My legs are so much stronger now with more definition, my arms look awesome, and my abs are starting to peek through some of my fat, haha! Still trying to…
  • You're 5'10" tall! And 145 lbs and you want to lose more weight? I'm 5'9" and my goal is 155lbs, within normal range of my height... and youre taller than me. This is not a healthy goal, imo. Youve got to be really thin already.
  • Hmm ok I think I see what you are saying. Im a SAHM and I have 3 kids... 4 yrs, 2 yrs, and 9 mos. So yes Im always on my feet! Im thinking of getting one of those Bodymedia Fit things soon so it can tell me how much Im actually burning. On the Scooby calculator, if I add in the Moderate exercise option, it tells me my TDEE…
  • Almost 3000? Sheesh. Ok so to figure out my TDEE, I set my activity level to 1-3x a week and got 2700. I thought you were supposed to get your TDEE-20% but not include exercise in that? Just eat your exercise calories? Ok so 3000-20% would be 2400... Add about 200 or nursing (hes 9 mos and not nursing exclusively anymore)…
  • Really? Hmmm, ok. I did find my TDEE, thats there I got my 2200 calorie intake from. Like I said, I am BFing so I added in 400 calories a day for that already. I am 28 yrs old and 176 lbs right now ad 5'9". When I was losing like mad I was eating all of my calories every day and still do (I dont log EVERYTHING, especially…
  • Well, believe it or not, but the sure fire why I can get my weight loss going is to have a few binge days of 3000+ calories, then go down to 2000 calories the next few days. A lot of people say the same thing, from what I've read on this site. Its NOT as simple as "calories in, calories out". Your metabolism has a lot to…
  • Im BFing and lost 20 lbs in about 2 mos. What I did was find my TDEE, minus 20%, and then add 400 calories. I got 2200 calories, which is what Ive been using. Im 27 yrs old and 5'9".
  • It took me a little over 2 mos to lose 23 lbs. I ate 2200 calories a day, and I ate most of my exercise calories, if I exercised. It was easy, IMO, lol. I do Zumba 2-3x a week for an hour, and then after that I do weightlifting for 30 mins. I've been at a plateau for the past month but I hope it jumpstarts again soon.
  • Ummm she said she's eating 800 calories a day. That's FAR too little for any woman.
  • Well, it's hard for me to try new things in terms of exercising. I finally found something I like (a certain Zumba class with an awesome instructor) and Im just not one that can slave away on a bike, treadmill, or elliptical for an hour, lol. Also, I have to go during a time that the child care is open and 11am is a good…
  • Miley is a shameful disgrace to women. It is a true shame in our country that a young woman feels she must parade herself like this around a stage to "gain respect." Where is the modesty? Where is the self-respect? I feel so sorry for her, honestly. I dont care how rich she gets, there's such a thing as integrity and…
  • I do, too. I soak the oats in almond milk and blueberries over night then in the morning, I just pop it in the microwave for about a minute to warm it up. Soooo good.
  • Put some steel cut oatmeal in a bowl. Cover with almond milk. Sprinkle some frozen blueberries on it. Put in fridge overnight. Its SO GOOD the next day, and very filling!
  • Peanut butter and jelly sammich. :)
  • Both. But like was already stated, you need to eat at a calorie deficit. I go to the gym 3x a week. I do an hour long Zumba class (burns 700 calories) then right after that I do 30 mins of the Strong Lifts weightlifting program. I burn 1000 calories total. But I usually eat most of those calories back. :) Ive lost 20 lbs…
