  • I do the Butter Bob Briggs version, just 3 tbl of Heavy Whipping cream and I am not hungry till lunch.
  • Butter Bob is awesome, he explains things very simply and effectively. Butter Makes your Pants fall off, Fasting and the 50% Insulin Solution, and Steak fajita meals are my three fav. vids. I watch them periodically to keep me in check. I have lost 40Lbs without any extra exercise (desk job) and no hunger. Check him out!
  • LCHF since may, have lost 40 lbs with no additional exercise. Add me as friend if you like!
  • This is just plain not true. CI/CO is an oversimplification. Insulin and in particular an individual's level of insulin resistance is a huge factor. Example: I maintained 1700 cal a day for 6 months, lost maybe 1-2 lbs a month. Switched to Keto (LCHF) and I have dropped 40 lbs in the next 6 months. Amount of calories the…
  • Also youtube Dr. Jason Fung and Dr Eric Berg, they will explain about insulin resistance and why you are not losing weight and what to do about it.
  • Not 100% accurate, you have to factor insulin into the equation. If your body stores the calories or burns them is dependent on insulin.
  • Keto people, look up Butter Bob on youtube, he has really helped me. I have lost 40lbs since May. No hunger, no extra exercise. He will explain to you why Keto works, and help you like none other. His earlier videos are best. Especially "Butter makes your pants fall off!"
  • It's not all about calories in vs calories out. It's about insulin. Do yourself a favor and go on youtube and look up insulin resistance.
  • I'm about 35 down with another 35 to go - it's easy to lose motivation for me at this stage. You just gotta keep on it!
  • CICO is one theory, here is what worked for me: Don't let the title fool you, it's not about fasting, it's about insulin resistance, which, is the reason most people are overweight. This tells you how to correct it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7sAqy1lnWXo
  • First I have to mention I have 20 years on you, so my body and how it reacts are very different than a 27 year old. For the past 10 years I could not get below 226 lbs, always went back to 240. I think CICO is garbage for many reasons. I maintained a deficit and the weight did not come off. I am no Dr. or Nutritionist, but…
  • I've been doing LCHF for 3.5 months and have lost 35 lbs and am very happy with the results and especially with the "no hunger" aspect of it all. It has been very easy. I have a desk job and my loss has been with no exercise, with the exception of 1-2 walks 5x per week of 1 mile, but this is not consistant. I keep my…
  • Your diary for yesterday made my head explode. Can I ask how old you are and your height?
  • Go Phillies and Go you!
  • I have lost 32lb in the past 3 months with no hunger and no additional exercise. I did what this guy does: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6aMN6NLOTQ&list=PLkQCEsFtjG1dy7v0njH8tjTTTHOSOem-i I'd start with his video, "Butter makes your Pants fall off" - you'll be hooked!
  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6aMN6NLOTQ Watch this guy's video's. Butter Bob explains HFLC and insulin resistance in a very easy to understand way. I've lost 30lb in 3 months, no hunger and I feel great. His videos talk about how to do this in a very economical manner. No need for this to be expensive.
  • Congratulations! Way to stick with it. I started at 240 in mid April and as of today I am 213. I am losing on average 10 lbs a month. No exercise except for trying to get in 10,000 steps a day. I keep under 30g carbs and 1500 cal a day. With LCHF, I am never hungry.
  • Wow - you literally look 20 years younger in the after photo! 1st photo I would have guessed mid 40's, 2nd I would have guessed mid 20's. It seriously looks like a mom on the left and her daughter on the right! Great Job!
  • You should look into insulin resistance and intermittent fasting, Look up both on youtube, I have, and am losing now.
  • I find a handful of walnuts really curbs my appetite through the day.
  • Ramen has a ridiculous amount of sodium. Not good for retaining water.
  • Unless the machine asks you your bodyfat percentage and weight, there is no way this can be accurate. Calorie burn estimates on machines are usually VERY generous.
  • Just was coming back to say I found it! Thanks!

  • Can you tell me how you did this please?

  • This times 1000% - do some research - your body is holding onto weight because you are not giving it the bare minimum it requires.
  • How are you measuring fat percentage? Caliper, Bod Pod?
  • Unless you overate by 3500 calories in one day - you didn't gain a pound, it's impossible. 1-4 pound swings are water retention. If I have a day where I go over say 2400 mg of sodium, for sure, the next day I'll be 1-2 pounds heavier on the scale. As long as you are trending downward, you are fine.
  • I recently did a Medgem test. Its a breathing test that measures your RMR. My RMR was 1740 cal perday. That is then multiplied by an activity factory (for me, sedentary, and I think they factor in your bodyfat % too, which is important). So my TDEE was 2026 calories - the amount to maintain weight. I subtract 500 cal from…
