Honestly, I have seen people lose too much weight, but even then I would never say anything about it to them. I wouldn't want someone getting up in my business about my body, so I wouldn't do that to someone else, even if they did appear to be too thin. If you feel good about your body, then rock it and ignore the rude…

How about some cheese? Yummy, high in fat and low in carbs. Perfect.

Yeah, the Amiigo looks super awesome. I'm on their email list because I'm stoked to get one. I don't know if any of them will be very accurate for things like P90X. I've heard from Fitbit users that it does add steps for those activities, but there's probably nothing quite as accurate as a HRM for those kinds of things. I…

That's just a myth. There have been studies that have debunked this. Also, I read recently (sorry I can't remember where) that coffee and tea can act as a diuretic, but only in large quantities. Here's a couple studies. http://www.plosone.org/article/info%3Adoi%2F10.1371%2Fjournal.pone.0084154…

Yay! Keep up the awesomeness!

I can relate to so many of these posts! Laziness is a big one. It's so much easier to just eat without ever thinking about the consequences! Another one is fear of failure. If I try and fail, then I will feel like an idiot and a loser. I'll be embarrassed. But, I hope I can say that these are the things that WERE holding…

Congrats to both of you! That's a hard thing to do, but it's so worth it.

Yeah, he sold out to make money. He is actually a legit cardiac surgeon, and he still does heart surgery many times per year (and he's good at it, I've read). But the show has TOTALLY fallen into the trap of luring in viewers, mostly women, with promises that they'll tell you "THE number one secret to losing 7 lbs in 7…

I'm really sorry that all of that is happening to you right now. I've never been in your shoes, but I do know that we have to take care of ourselves FIRST. Because if you don't take care of you, then you won't be there to take care of anyone else. Prioritize yourself and your feelings and your body. My mom recently passed…

I had my first panic attack almost four years ago. Have had several since then, but now it's mostly dulled to a kind of general anxiety, rather than all-out panic attack. When I exercise too hard and my heart starts going really fast, I get extremely anxious that I will have a heart attack. Never took meds, just went to a…

I have the same issue. Random panic attacks and anxiety about working out too hard and having a heart attack. My solution has been to do a lot of walking. Heart rate doesn't go shooting up and I can get some exercise in during the day. Walking has actually helped me with my anxiety, as well, so it's a win-win. Sometimes I…

If you like videos, try some of the beginner-level Fitness Blender videos on Youtube. I am in the same boat--I cannot do a single push-up! But I've been doing these a couple times a week and it's a great place to start. Here's the two that I do most often. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSZj19AUU5I…

That could be it! How has your food intake been? Are you staying within your calorie goal? Also, do you eat back your exercise calories? I would wait and see what happens, and if you've still not lost anything in the next week or two, I would adjust my calories (either up or down, depending on what you're doing now).…

I know you said that it's not muscle gain, but have you been doing any new exercises at all? When you introduce exercise into your life, you often hold onto water in order to help your muscles recover from the new activity. Even if you're not lifting weights or running marathons, this will happen. So, any new exercise…

I think that's a good plan, for sure. Some people have already mentioned this, but if you need quick, easy foods, you can make up little snacks when you've got time and then grab them on the go. I personally don't like protein bars and stuff like that, but that can also work if you're in a time crunch.
-
I've TOTALLY done this before. My solution was to take a nice, hot bath and to take walks rather than continue working out hard. Walking, even when your legs hurt, can actually help a lot!

I believe you when you say that you already know about eating healthy. My question, then, is why do you need Slim Fast when you already know how to lose weight in a safe, healthy way? Why even use it if you've already got the know-how to do it? I'm not saying that Slim Fast is dangerous or anything like that, but what I am…

You've already noted all the reasons why people don't encourage it. It doesn't teach people how to eat healthy in a sustainable, lifelong way. It doesn't teach people about caloric needs, macronutrient goals, or exercise. It's generally a quick fix diet, rather than a lifelong change. So...what is your question again?

If you're into videos, Fitness Blender has a few videos on Youtube specifically for people who want low impact. Here are a couple (I've done both, and they really get my heart rate up!): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSZj19AUU5I https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8A6Uai5sQVw Very good place to start!

Summary of thread: everyone says "eat it if it fits your macros and calories." Someone comes in and says "BUT YOU HAVE TO WATCH YOUR MACROS!" Fight ensues. Only on MFP.

Wow! Never lift over 3 lbs, work out 2 hours a day, and eat 950 cals a day. Sounds legit. :noway:

*shameless bump* I really want people to watch it! haha

Meh, I got one last month on my arm because I wanted it. I enjoy having it there, and I didn't want to put it off because I knew that it would make me happy. I can see the worry, but my tattoo artist said that you have to worry a lot more about getting bigger and stretching it out. Getting smaller can also leave skin baggy…
