No 100 yr olds for me.

I hate exercise and always have. Fortunately, it's not required to lose weight. Weight loss is much more about diet than exercise, IMO.

I'm short for a man and my BMI is still 23.8 even after losing about 15 lbs in 2 months. MFP says I need 1910/day to maintain my weight. I don't think 1200 calories is an unreasonable target. I was able to meet that target for the first 6 weeks. Not quite the past couple weeks due to indulging a little more. But I hope to…

I don't want added sugar because of calories. I'm not against all artificial sweeteners - I do use some sucralose/splenda. Some others have a bad rep like aspartame and I'm a little wary. The sweetener I have had the most serious issues with, erythritol, is a sugar alcohol which is considered a natural sweetener. I'm not…

For me, fruit alone don't do the trick in terms of sweetness even by itself, let alone to sweeten something else like greek yogurt. When the fruits aren't ripe enough, like some blackberries I ate yesterday that had been in my fridge for 2 weeks but still incredibly weren't ripe yet, I sprinkle them with a bit of splenda…

I have tried eating full fat yogurt, plain or greek, but I really can't eat yogurt that's not sweetened.
-
Maybe I will try a small amount again; but I tried with erythritol, I had to put about 30-40g of it to sweeten 170g of greek yogurt. And then I was guaranteed to spend the night on the toilet (erythritol has a laxative effect). Maybe erythrtol just isn't sweet enough. But when I used it in other things (baking) it was…

Haven't tried candarel, it seems to be asparatame which has a bad rep for health - I don't kwow if it's deserved or not. I do have vanilla extract.

Yes, but look at the carb content - the flavored ones have more carbs/sugar than protein. I have bought some plain chobani and am trying to make something better without increasing carbs as much.

I have been shooting for a high protein diet which helps with satiety. Had quite a bit of success losing about 12 pounds in the first 5 weeks. The other sources of protein like whey protein shakes don't taste particularly great - and liquid food is not my favorite . I love the sardines I have been eating almost daily, but…

I am avoiding regular yogurt on purpose to reduce the carbs/ natural sugar content. Not a fan of peanut butter. I may try cinnamon. Don't have any maple syrup handy to try. And I'm not a huge fan of jello.

We are not talking about a teaspoon of sugar, it would take me quite a lot of sugar. At least 20% of the greek yogurt weight in sugar. On the few days I ate 300g of greek yogurt that means eating at least 60g of sugar. The calories from sugar would be higher than the protein from the greek yogurt, defeating the purpose of…

Agree about skipping regular yogurt. But I think greek yogurt is great to hit a protein goal.

It's all about the quantity. I have a sweet tooth and I eat a lot of greek yogurt. It would take 60-100g of sugar a day to sweeten the amounts of yogurt I am eating some days. And I'm trying to keep below 40g a day total.

Which kind ? I have several but not all have a flavor that work with great yogurt. Also, greek yogurt is already very thick even without adding powder. If adding powder, liquid needs to be added. I have tried some NOW whey unflavored powder (absolutely disgusting) and some designer whey chocolate powder, which tastes good…

Thanks. It looks like the sweetener in those is sucralose (splenda), which I have also tried with some limited success. The dosage is a little hard to get right as it splenda packets are too sweet generally. Well, I can't stand the taste of peanut butter so not an issue here :)

Sugar content...

Thanks but I can't stand the taste of bacon nor any kind of melted cheese. Yes, you could say I am a picky eater.

Actually Costco was out of whole eggs during my last shopping trip so I bought the liquid egg whites. I have about 6 lbs of them left in individual cartons.
