It depends on more than that. My workout partner weighs less than me, and always burns more than me, but my heart rate doesn't go up as high as hers does.
-
I agree. I only burn about half of the machines or MFP tell me.

Like everyone else said.. repeat weeks if needed. That is what my running group is doing.. and also.. start a running group! So much easier to stay motivated!!
-
I have a hard time too. I keep getting what I call side leg shin splints.. I can't go too many days in between of running.
-
yep, my son has to do some sport. I don't care what he wants to do, but he already does soccer. he wants to try baseball next year. Don't make it a choice.

Get together with her and work out together. Cut the internet at home.

I'm 275 pounds (now). If I can do it, so can you. No one is judging you harder than yourself.

YES. Please don't go in with a "you need to do this, you need to stop that" conversation. It will not help.. Take her out.. hopefully she will say something about weight loss.. then you can start with the part about MFP and how you used it to lose weight.. etc. Give her some confidence.. My stepmom tried to "help" me and…

I'd be more concerned about the high fructose corn syrup thats going to go in it, or the 100s of other chemicals they put into it.. however.. ice cream.. gooooood. bacon.. gooooood.. together.. heaven!

In the morning, at lunch, right after work.. or before bed. There are many times you can make it happen.. Got rid of cable too.. I just don't have time to watch it.

i wish I had the option for MFP for me to just uncheck the "so and so hasn't logged in for XX many days".
-
Yep, I am registering next month!
-
Not at ALL.

MFP is WAY off for me. Based on my weight, (275), all estimators act like I should burn thousands of calories. I burn about 1/2 of what MFP or the Treadmill say I should. Even though I am large, I am pretty fit for my size and my heart rate doesn't go crazy, so I don't burn as much.

FT4 and I've never wet the strap.. ever.
-
Sounds good.. You would have probably burned over 700 if you ran an hour..
-
I'm not going to lie though.. I just want to look hot.. one day.

My son is 5, and does it with me (not very regularly).. but he loves it, so why not? We do crossfit stuff, and he lifts all kinds of 'real world' stuff. i let him use my little 5-10 pound weights. I'd rather him get involved when he is interested, rather than wait till he is a teenager and is overweight.

Currently training for the marine corp marathon 10k, and the Disney Princess 1/2 marathon!

Yoga will totally help.. along with strength training! Good luck!

Love panera, but their food has a lot of sodium too. The salads are really good tho.

Absolutely amazing! Congrats!!

Awesome, and great job on the wins.

I know.. I just found these NB's that I love, and I'm going to buy as many as I can, now.
-
I just bought some new balance minimals, that of course, are on sale, because they have newer ones (which are too thin).. but I got the 730's, and this is the first time, in my life, that I've put a shoe on, out of the box, ran and no pain, whatsoever!! So, definitely check out the NB Minimus, and the other minimals.
