I'm sure you've figured by now that weight is not a good fit! I recommend having your body fat tested and shoot for lowering that instead (and toss the scale!). I am 5'2" and currently weigh about 135. I lift weights and wear a size 4 or 6. My goal weight is 125, which will knock me down to a 2 or 4. I weighed 113 when I…

June 1 is my birthday! So it makes sense that I should turn 34 with style :-) It's 12 weeks away, so I think an 8 lb loss is a good goal. That would put me at a weight haven't seen since my 20s.

There is virtually no junk food in my home because I know I can't handle chips/cookies/etc., but that still does not stop me from going over my calorie goal with greek yogurt, almonds, the occasional…

Even if you are using all the awesome hints and tricks others have posted here,…

Hi, I just found you guys. I am in my 2nd year of a PhD program in Health Policy and the weight is creeping on. Sadly, I think this might be because I'm getting older more than the stress (I turn 34 in June - yikes!). I am married and we have a 4-year old son and now that I passed my preliminary exams (woohoo!!) we are…

I'm a phd student, 33, with a husband who travels often for work and a 4-year old son. Extra time, what's that??

"Christian Wife" - I'm glad you can eat more and lose weight. I can't! Thanks for rubbing it in!

I started a month ago at 1200 calories and have lost almost 4 pounds. I think 1200 is reasonable if you are starting at a lower weight. At 5'2" and a high weight of 137, even at 1200 cals/day it will take me a while to get to my goal. I eliminated a lot of sugar and try to eat "bulkier" foods (veggies, whole grains) so I…
