This might help... or something... http://www.singletrackworld.com/2009/02/the-picolax-thread-returns/

I need to get motivated to track my food properly again, having got lazy - if you believed what I put on here, all I ever ate was breakfast!! I think I've put some weight on too. :-( Going away at the end of the week for my boyfriend's Dad's birthday, but I am going to try to be disciplned until then...

Another happy Mirena user here - I had to have my first one out for unrelated reasons and got another one put it when I could. Didn't gain weight, and have lost some weight recenlty. I love not having periods... As has been said above, they obviously don't suit all women.

Hugs to backinthenines and anyone else who needs a hug. I had a very nice weekend visiting my family. I haven't a clue what I ate, though. Back on to logging it all this morning. Did have a super bike ride on Saturday, and a lovely gentle run on Sunday. The weather is too nice this morning to be in an office...

The usual advice I read on training when feeling a bit ill is "if it is above the neck then you are OK to train (if you feel like it) but if it is below the neck then you shouldn't train".
-
backinthenines, I'm sorry about your relationship troubles. I seem to have developed muscles in my lower stomach. I guess they always were there, but there's less fat covering them now. I'm thinking about when I eat, and am concluding I nead a bigger breakfast and less nibbling later in the day!

I am not a good advert for being fit this morning! Did a fell race/adventure race type thing on Saturday evening and my muscles are complaining about it now. My colleague is most amused at my struggles to get out of my chair! On the positive side, it is a lovely morning out there.

LOL at the boiled swede... I keep meaning to do a search for triathletes! (If you see what I mean).

Oh, look, a team UK thread! (Not that I have anything against Americans, (or people from anywhere else for that matter), but I do find myself thinking "do I need to 'translate' that?" a bit...) And another triathlete  I'm not going to join the north vs south thread, because I'm on here as much to track what I do eat…
-
Just posting so I can find the thread again. I hope you don't mind. Its a reminder to me to eat - not too much, not to little, but the right amount. I wish you all the best.

I don't have children myself, but I have 3.5 year old twin neices. I thought you parents of twins might like this example of twin logic: when it was my Mum's birthday, the twins were quite insistant that it was Granny AND Grandpa's birthday (I know some couples do have their birthday on the same day, but my parents don't).…

Thank you all for the explanation! I thought deep fried mars bars were a Scottish thing (though that's also a stereotype, really, you don't see them that often). My favourite "two countries divided by a common language" (have I got that quote right!?) thing is the New Zealand word for what I would call flip-flops -…

So what is the American stereotype of British food? Is it all totally inedible or something?

This thread looks very useful to me but I don't have time to read it right now so I'm being cheeky and posting on it so I can find it again! Thanks for the advice!

Can you ride a bicycle? I mean both are you able to, and, are there places that you can do it and enjoy it? Could you commute to work by bike? Walking is good too, so long as it is nice and brisk.

A bit more information - the reason I am interested it that I am trying to loose a small amount of weight while training quite hard, so it is helpful to me to know what proportions of nutrients the site is recommending. I'll take a look at the settings, thank you for that tip.
