Water is good whether you are dieting or not. It flushes you out, helps most organs (if not all) by aiding in cleansing. It obviously hydrates you. If you do not intake fluids, you will dehydrate and it CAN lead to death. Water is a VERY BIG necessity if you are in a hoter climate. I assume you're not since you are asking…

Dang, you look good either way :)

Muscle weighs more than fat, and you are NOT fat... My Lord... great job! :)

Holy crap girl, you are FIIIINE looking. AWESOME JOB! \o/ I enjoy fruits and veggies, so I am a little luckier, but seriously, great job since you don't eat the them!!!! Great tips, pretty much all I try to suggest to new "dieters". I would only suggest weight lifting early on for those who wish to "change their life". It…

Thanks for your replies. Someone I know in real life also suggested to not worry about it if I don't have a reason to watch it. Especially since most of it comes from a natural source. :) I'll look at that link what was posted now.

Golly.. the cheese... I didn't think much of that. I can add it to my salads at night :)

I actually feel the same way... I am finding it rather difficult to meet my calorie goal... like... being under 200 cals...ALL THE TIME. I hear that's dangerous, but my body is not complaining... I feel completely fine, I eat 5-6 times a day. Lately, I have been trying to add more calories to my food. For example, if I…

You have a VERY good point, and I agree with you. Unfortunately, the Americans are VERY much into prescription drugs, being led to believe that a pill will fix all their issues in life. And I can just see the pharmaceutical companies making a KILLING on "diet pills" in the near future. If this labeling was more about…

Here's the thing... if you're going to weigh yourself every day (or as often as it sounds like you do) you must take the readings with a grain of salt, because realistically, things just happen to change over night with your body. We are part of Nature, and Nature adjusts itself to many factors. A realistic weigh in is 1-2…

I consider this a personal issue and I don't feel it should have gotten as far as this. People need to be responsible for their own actions. I don't want to get political here, but it seems a lot of things have changed since 20 years ago. Yeah, more people are probably overweight compared to then, but when you lose self…

I just started "weight lifting" with dum bells (I don't have access to machines), I really loved reading the comments in which assured me I am not making the wrong decision. I was 182lbs this last Monday. I started dieting in May and weight 187 on May 17th. It occurred to me Tuesday that I should probably start lifting…

I would log yard work, but not the shopping (even though I monthly shop, and I actually DO burn calories) or the house work.

Could just be a stab in the dark...make sure you getting an adequate amount of protein. I was having issues with my diet last month... as soon as I noticed I was lacking on protein and started amping it up.All cravings stopped, and I am hardly hungry (unless I accidentally skip a meal). Try it and see if that fixes your…

We live in an era where 1. We don't want to take blame for ANYTHING we do in our lives and 2. We have to have a diagnose for EVERYTHING. Modern medicine is GREAT for emergencies... after that... I wouldn't encourage anyone to spend the money to see a doctor unless they already have an issue (in which YOU, YOURSELF should…

Yes, I would test it out more. Your body needs more than a week to adjust. :) I think 2-3 weeks is a good number, a month is better though :) 20-25lbs (depending on your starting weight, and other factors) is great result... Many people who do low carb are VERY over weight (400lbs+), and this helps these over weight people…

AWESOME!!! Congratulations!

You have some good "friend" there. How rude and discouraging...Friends shouldn't do that... she should be supporting you, saying "YOU CAN DO IT!" Anyway, it looks like you have lost a good amount already, keep at it! Congratulations!

All the new dieters, make sure you get enough protein, that's a mistake I made last month when I began my diet... I felt so hungry and shaky all the time. When I realized I needed more protein and started increasing it, I have felt SOOO much better :)
-
This has me confused too. I see some people just tend to eat 50-60% of it though. I just let my body tell me what it wants. Since I have upped my protein, I have not felt hungry at all! Before, I was going nuts with "hunger" pains, and I was eating the same amount as I am now! Ah... protein does wonders....**dreamy look*

I added you! \o/ Do you have a dog to walk with? I take my poor Jack Russel out, but she gets tired after about 20mins, hahaha! I need to get a Blue Healer, they have a TON of energy.

I am open to be buddies with anyone who would like one. I am doing VERY good on my diet. Lost 5lbs already in the first month (and I wasn't completely behaving). I am also a yoyo dieter (who isn't really...), and I started a diet that I think I cand live with for the rest of my life. It's cheap, healthy, and I get no…

Lol, Greek Yogurt is just a market trend right now. I like it better than the regular because it's not as watery. All Greek yogurt is just a 2nd whey draining. I am sure the big companies are making more money by having us switch to Greek, they can keep the drainage and use it in something. I plan to make some one time. :)…

Wow, nice looking! :) A big congratulations, nice work!

If you're going to diet and lift weights that often, you NEED to put a GOOD amount of protein in you. (start at 60g and work up). And I agree... 1200 is WAY too little for you, I am a 4 feet 9 inch female, 26, 187lbs (when I started the diet), I don't hardly exercise, and I eat 1200 cals a day, and I am losing weight, AND…

4 feet 9inches, 187 pounds on May 17th. I will weigh in Monday to see how much I lost this past month. I have a limit of 1200 cals a day. I don't exercise a lot, and it's something I just need to baby step in... I don't like doing things in front of people, and it's just hard to find a place where I don't feel like I am…

Totally agree with these posts... Your body will attack what you got. At first it will see likeyou are starving, but you're not... Maybe that is why the body STORES excess "food", it's preparing in case you need it one day. In reality, if all food source came to an end, obese people whould be the last to die. Not saying…

I'll just say from my personal experience.... take it or leave it. I have been pretty much overweight since I was... oh... 12 years old. When I was 17, my dad started truck driving, and the rest of us at home didn't have transportation (other than our 2 feet). Okay, my mother never cooked, I was only taught a little by my…

This is GREAT info! I would definitely seek healthier "heavy" foods, and especially foods high in protein. Protein builds muscles, and muscles weigh more than fat :) If you want to stay more healthy about it though, you can make your own granola, and use it with yogurt (yogurt is very high in protein) this way, you can add…
