I don't feel very hungry unless I have a busy day and skip meals (I can't eat OMAD, I get too ill), but it is kinda sucky, cause to lose weight right now, I actually have to eat less than 1k calories, so logging here is a pain (besides the excessive lag). Short people also tend to be disproportionate, meaning their…

28.1% bmi 130lb 4f9i short Size: 8 to 10 (10 is more comfy) 12lb overweight I used to be obese: 189lb. Starts at 167lb last year, so I lost a decent amount. I wore sizes 18 to 20 then.

Set yourself a calorie limit, and go from there. Many people are successful on lchf, but others are not. Research whatever plan you chose well before you start doing it, and if you think you cant live without those sweets, then you might not want to keto. With keto, your body uses fat as fuel, and since you're overweight,…

Been doing this since October (not exactly faithfully though), and I've lost 24lb. Only 12lb before I'm at proper weight. I love keto, but you must keep up on your electrolytes, else you'll feel pretty ill. I only eat eggs st breakfast; there are other foods you can eat, especially once you understand how net carbs work :)…

Congrats on your weightloss! I wonder, when you tried the LCHF, did you also monitor your calories? Weigh your food? Since you eat a lot more homemade stuff, it's very easy to go over. Also, the high fat is not something you consume (nor for weightloss), the name is very misleading; the fat comes from what's already on…

When I said 100%, I meant to stick to the four days @ 1500 calories (the 'plan' after the three day one). That's where we goofed up at. We didn't watch calories at all during those four days. So, yeah, I wrote it wrong. My apologies.

I can't explain why it works, but I've been on 1200 diets before and never had this much success (weight + inches). It could all be psychological for all I know. I wish I knew for sure... and I'm sorry that I can't help you further. There's a fb page for this diet if anyone's interested. Tons of good results posted there.…

I did state previously that I didn't think the foods on the original plan had the fat burning chemistry that it had claimed. I just stated that myself and others have turned some of those bland foods into decent recipes, so I'm not sure where the confusion is coming from. Maybe I'm just strange, maybe I find the whole…

Exactly, that's you. Some people need financial advice, while others need meal plans listed out for them. It's kinda why Jenny Craig was such a success-- everything was there for them. They didn't have to do any work. Some people just need a little push to get started.

I earlier stated that you could modify it your wants/needs. I said it works as a good default meal plan (it works 'as is' OR with your own changes). The diet itself lists substitutions on its own page. You don't have to eat exactly the things that are originally listed. It's just a basic idea of what 'they' want you to…

Yeah, the food is bland, I'll admit. But we did some twists to it with cooking (and get some decent brands of stuff, like the ice cream), so we didn't think it was so bad, even on the first week. It's also been weaning us off the junk food. And I'm adding less sweetner to my drinks (tea).

Oh, so they did get three? I was made to believe that they only got one, my bad. I had a few of those... yeah, I can see why he threw some out-- and I had some modernized ones! Yick...!

If he was a gunman in war, he probably wasn't losing weight just from that. Those men burn 6k a day very easily (and their rations are only like 3k calories) :(

Posted on previous page, but in summary: Lost 6lb and up to two inches from varies parts of my body (I started measuring only last week, so it may have been more since the 16th).

I'm with you; I'm not a huge fan of bread. Aldi's has an oat bran loaf for just over a $1 that is pretty tasty though. I'm thinking of buying Wheat Thins next time in place of the toast. Congrats on your recent weight loss, and I'm sorry about your father(in-law) *hugs*.

Could you link me to that video please? I watched every one that I could find on it, but I must have missed one.

Wanted to give an update. I started this on the 16th (of May) and recorded my weight at 161lb. By the 23rd (last Tuesday), I lost 3lb. That's when I decided that I should measure. Last Friday (the 26th of May) was when the 2nd three day cycle was over, and I had lost 3 inches around the waist and a total of 3lb (158lb down…

Then all you need to do is eat 9,000 calories once a week-- it'll average out in the end. You'll probably feel like crap, but the science is there. If calorie really was all that matters, you could just eat a bunch of pork fat at a calorie deficit and not lose an ounch of muscle.

I'm giving the lurkers some accurate info: after all that has been said about it, there are only a few things that the nay-sayers say about it (which have also been condradicted by other nay-sayers): 1. That you'll starve But you wont, cause if you follow it for the seven days like you're suppose to, you'll clear just…

Then all those studies based on how you should eat is incredibly useless. Never mind that animals who eat slow and long all day (snacking on 'healthy' meals) always manage to stay lean. Never mind that since as long as I could remember, breakfast has always been considered the most important meal of the day. Or that you…

I saw some no sugar added at Walmart. It was only 70 cals. I was like... this can't taste good, lol I forgot the brand...

Explain to me how it's anymore 'unhealthy' than any other 1200-1300 calorie deficit limitation? It has plenty of fruit, carbs, and protein. It lacks dairy (other than sugar-loaded ice cream), but you can replace an egg or cheese or ice cream for yogurt or milk. Taking a multi-vitamin will help a lot to meet the vitimin…

Because you kinda need an idea of what foods to eat and in what order. This diet starts you up on it (carbs/protein for breakfast/lunch and plenty of 'roughage" and protein at dinner). With a little smarts, you can choose to exchange things for better food (a lot of it ARE decent food choices, people are just turned off by…

I use them, they are a real life saver. I'm an odd duck though, I don't like em cold, so I warm the water up first.

I only have a problem with the tuna and hotdogs, which you can substitute out. I did that with the hotdogs during the first phase (they aren't healthy either...). This next week, I'ma change out the tuna for something else. Maybe for my protein drink. This diet works great because everything is listed already, where if…

The whole chemistry of what it originally stated is debatable (I'm not a believer in it). The part that I was more referring to is those who say that it doesn't work and /or that it's starving you. I'm just going to say this now: it can't starve you-- well, at least not like they're implying. The problem is that people see…

You can feed them or starve them. As a book writer with lots of 'critics', I have learned it's better to starve 'em. You aren't going to change their mind, and they ain't gonna change yours (not with the approach most of them take). I thoroughly researched this diet for a week before considering it. I obviously wasn't…

You getting enough water? What's your bread/pasta intake? I'm no expert, but I hear bread products have this affect.
-
I agree, the tuna is the worst. *shudders* I plan on exchanging that for chicken next time. I also thought the 2 TBsp of peanut butter was too much for one piece of toast. Lost 4lb though. I'll see what I weigh on Tuesday (that'll end the week, including the 4 'normal' 1500 calorie days that everyone seems to forget about).

I typically don't unless I have a super busy day. On average, before exercising, I walk about 12k steps a day. So if I get around 16k before exercize, then yes, I do eat my exercize calories. In such a case, usually, I opt to eat it in protein-- protein is my miracle worker, it cuts my shakes that I occasionally get after…
