  • you could skip the expense and chemicals in crystal lite and use lemon juice or lemons. use the truvia (or stevia) and make as stated. it would be much better for you in the long run.
  • are you drinking enough? this may help too...i was amazed at how our blood chemistry works. i have struggled with hypoglycemia my entire adult life. now that i understand acidic and alkaline food and how it affects my blood i have NO issues at all. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpoAtwVyzZI take the time to watch it...it…
  • i am so glad i am not alone! i hate the feeling of sickness after the trip that is supposed to be convenient! i wont eat there again either! and my kids are there now too...my daughter (she's 12) went to taco bell with her friends and was so sick when she got home...she said "mom never again...even if it is free!"
  • i came to the conclusion that trying to find "fat free" or sugar substitutions for what i dearly love only made it where i loved it more. substituting will never be as good as the real thing...sooo... i had to totally revamp my mental process...I started looking for things totally different than what i would normally…
  • almonds, cashews, or pistachios are really good. much more than peanuts. if you can find almonds in raw state they are great because of the trace good things in them that are killed in the roasting process. the rawer the food the better. remember the calories in them are higher but they hold what your body needs moreso…
  • no it isnt good for losing...in fact it's opposite. it signals your body to go in emergency mode--adrenals, etc.-- which decreases the body's fat burning mechanism.
  • it is amazing! you can microwave it...but baking is better. most raw foodists will agree it is great raw! i use it in place of rice or pasta. it has a great consistency like rice noodles. curry chicken is FABULOUS on a bed of squash in fact my husband prefers it to rice!
  • holy crap! congrats on the discipline and the success! thanks for the push! i need it this week!
  • just remember SHE HAD TO DO IT! with or without a personal trainer...she was still responsible for everything in her mouth. you can do it too without one!
  • i use Arbonne figure eight vanilla protein shake. i add 1 cup of strawberries and 1/2 banana. it is really good. you can add a little honey or agave to it if you like sweet shakes. also a magic bullet or blender will really help the grittyness of most protein powders.
  • http://www.globalgoods.com/agaverecipes/agavepumpkinpie.html i make this without a crust. it is fabulous! and 116 calories for a 2X2 square. i bake it in an 8X8 glass pan instead of like a pie. it is wonderful. even my kids love it! i am vegetarian--not vegan--but you can substitute the eggs as well. also i use fresh sweet…
  • that's awesome! congratulations :drinker:
  • i lost 6 my first week...definitely OMG what are you doing to me? weight. it evens out. i had challenges with keeping my calories up above 1200 when i first started as well. add good nuts and seeds--like almonds--make sure they are not smoked or salted. raw almonds are really best for you. also i added dried fruit. i have…
  • ok this is it...i am in! i am starting with a personal trainer tomorrow...i am excited about that, but i will do skinny today! =)
  • the best i have is i make extra "dinners" when i do cook and freeze them. i do a great spinach baked ziti with feta cheese! yummm  my favorite thing quick is Pampered Chef's quick ministrone recipe. it literally takes 20 minutes and it is yummy. i add fresh veggies in it (like asparagus and carrots) and i dont use…
  • when i got past the " i am really missing something" and ate because my body needed real nutrition, i quit craving the foods i loved soooo much! now i eat all the time...but i eat only those things without a label. no i mean ALL the time. i am constantly eating. but it is what my body craves now. dont be a lab rat...if the…
  • 1520 and i set it for one pound a week. i usually lose 2. it has to do with how tall you are too. dont forget that. i eat nothing that has a label on it! if it has to be explained to me in chemical terms...i dont need it! that has helped tremendously...
  • yep 300 calories is all you need to add for the baby.
  • the things you spoke of triggering side effects...a magnesium deficiency will produce that too. check out this website...the lower left watch the 2 minute video...a real eye opener! i had extreme high blood pressure for 12 yrs...after having toximia with my daughter and my BP never went down...until i started taking steps…
  • if you arent preggers...what i did to get me in line is i cut sugar out completely for 1 month. the first 3 days were hell. i had no idea how addicted i was. turns out sugar is the same as alcohol to your body without the buzz. that being said...i wish you the best! starving yourself is not the answer...put all the stuff…
  • seriously at one time i was a 2 liter a day coke addict. after a series of events...i went cold turkey and quit. then i found this...take the time to watch it. it will answer the argument for soft drinks in general. i wish you the best! laura http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpoAtwVyzZI
  • diet means you will start it then finish it! dont look for a "diet". i do not eat anything with a label on it...that means if they have to explain to you in chemical terms what's in it...you dont need it! you are NOT a lab rat! and the raw-er the better...dont kill the enzymes naturally in your food...get the most bang for…
  • i met mine at Pizza Hut! i was straight out of college and a failed relationship. He had just gotten off active duty with the Coast Guard in the Carribean. I was his waitress. He asked me out in a crazy way! 2 weeks later we were engaged!!! :noway: 5 months later we were married and the rest they say is history... we are…
  • the best cleanse i have ever used, and the safest one is a veggie fast for 10-14 days. make sure it has the greens in it. i have tried masters, lemon, etc. and a veggie fast is doable. plus it does not shock your system but it still gets the desired result.

  • frozen strawberries and 1/2 frozen banana. i like it a lil sweeter so i add 1 tsp of agave and a splash of vanilla. i have this every morning. i love it. also i use trader joe's carribean frozen fruit with a banana in it as well! it is yummy. (it is mango, pineapple, papaya blend frozen)
  • i say plan for it. you know he's gonna visit...so make provisions. i had pain like you. i would slow down a bit and then when i knew the guest was pulling out of the driveway...i would pick up where i left off. i eventually had a hysterectomy...the best gift i ever gave myself! as far as the cravings...i plan for those…
  • yep i concur with the good poo and a light dinner...if you eat your "biggest" meal at dinner then you wouldnt have time to rid it yet first thing in the morning... but there is no rule about the am. weigh when you want to and use that time consistently.
  • happy dance for you! i can't wait to post this for myself@! i am close...
  • i love the 4% ...fat free isnt worth it for me. i would rather not eat something else. i dont like fruit in mine either...i eat the fruit then the cheese.
  • and it totally blows...but i had a hysterectomy and still have the same "problem" with the weight thing. i can tell when i would have started. and sure enough the scale tells me too. :grumble:
