Congratulations! You sound so happy. AND dedicated! I love how when something wasn't working, you just tried something else. A great way to reach your goal, if gradually, because you're learning how to change your lifestyle. Very impressed.

This absolutely made my day. I love meteor showers. And I'm so happy for you.

Love your story. We have similar stats, although I've only lost the first 25 or so at this point. Sending FR now...

Wow you look great!! Love your enthusiasm. :)

Congratulations. I'm really impressed how long you stuck to MFP in spite of your plateau. You're quite an inspiration.
-
Congratulations on your engagement and your new healthy lifestyle. To many more weeks! And years of happiness. :)
-
Congratulations on your loss and especially your new found confidence.

Congratulations! You look so healthy and happy. I too am a big foodie and home cook. One of the things I love about MFP is that I can still cook fun things and not feel guilty about eating them, so long as they fit into my daily calorie allotment. It's great to find a new healthy lifestyle that still fits in with what you…

I'm going away on vacation today. Can I do the first check in and fitness test on Monday?

Wonderful story. You describe so eloquently how the small daily choices we make can have great consequences. Thank you.
-
Way to go! I can definitely see a difference, especially in your belly.

I see no reason not to drink beer. Just try to make your calorie goal, including the calories from beer, and you'll be fine.

I must say that the platypus ploy is quite effective. Feel free to add me as a friend. I love helping others succeed. I recommend small changes in your lifestyle. One thing hat helped me get started was that I wasn't focusing on exercise too much at the beginning. I just tried to do a little bit (15-20 mins) every other…

What a wonderful story. Congratulations to both of you.

Thanks, everyone for your kind words. LOL. Yes I AM curvy, and happy to be so. I'd love to share some (but definiteky not all!) of my curves with you guys.
-
Congratulations! You're well on your way to being fit and healthy.

I log and login daily, possibly hourly. It's turning into a mild obsession. I'd love to have any of you as friends.
-
You look fantastic! And very healthy! Congratulations.

40 lb loss at 40 years old. Nice! Congratulations on getting healthier and happier.

I can really feel the exuberance in your posts. Kudos!

Really inspiring. I look a lot like your before pics now and am aiming to get down to ~140. Makes it all seem possible. Well done!

Way to go! I really like this idea with the jars.

Also, I really like getting a pound of chocolate (like the Pound Plus from Trader Joe's), and just eating one square from time to time. Helps keep me sane. :)

Probably the most important thing is to make sure to accurately log what you're eating everyday and try to stick to a plan. Don't worry so much if you go over your calorie budget one day, just try to make sure to do better the following day. Pictures and measurements are up to you really. It will probably surprise you how…

So amazing and inspiring. Thanks for sharing. I particularly loved: • Life happens! There are going to be days that you don’t have the motivation to work out, or at an event that you want to eat some things that you typically don’t. Go ahead and not work out or have that 2nd piece of cake. Those things aren’t going to kill…

I often look on the Bon Appetite and Epicurious websites for low calorie, but satisfying dishes. I just made this last night and it was spectacular: http://www.bonappetit.com/recipes/quick-recipes/2012/08/pasta-salad-with-melon-pancetta-and-ricotta-salata

Hi! I have an open diary and would like to learn what others are eating as well. Feel free to add me.

You should start grilling! One trick is to grill a bunch of meat when I have a little bit of time (an hour or so, max) and then use it throughout the week to make quick and easy dinners. For instance, leftover grilled chicken and red pepper can make great tacos. There are also lots of quick and easy salads or pastas you…
