Just bought Fitbit Zip and so far so good. Clips on belt loops, pocket or inside bra (my choice - not visable, uncomfortable or unsafe). Seems a good choice as very small too and jazzy colours. Good luck with whatever you go with. Enjoy!

Just ordered a Fitbit Zip. Seems to do what I want and you clip it on jeans or on clothes when you want to wear it. Cheaper end of Fitbit market too. May be an idea for you?

I agree with comments. I think if you keep within/under cals each day you will lose weight, whatever you eat. But eating 'clean' is better for you health-wise and may help keep you full longer. Good luck with whatever you decide suits you best.
