When you exercise...you def need to eat more calories so that your body will burn the food (and fat) and not your muscle while your body is repairing itself from the exercise. And VERY important to weight foods too. I was amazed at some of the portions I thought were normal...were actually too big. As well...I was undercutting some portions too.

If you are not exercising...take your goal weight and multiply by 10. So if you want to weigh 130...you should eat 1300 calories. If you are exercising...multiply by 13

Do NOT skimp on your calories...your body needs those calories to function. Absolutely do not eat under 1200 per day!!!

I just noticed you are a vegetarian...use soy milk!!!!! Lots of protein goodness!!!!

You definately need to eat more for lunch. Is this a recurring problem for you? If so, you need to be consuming fuller fat dairy and maybe some egg yolks instead of eggs. Maybe make yourself a protein shake...full of good calories and it won't feel like you are eating. Milk, banana, peanut butter, ice...maybe some whey…

Not sprinting at all...I just put the treadmill on an incline. Believe it or not...having it on an incline will burn calories faster than running at a full sprint!

There is definately something to be said about eating too little calories makes your body hold back your fat reserves...especially if you are exercising on top of that. She could very well be right...try increasing the caloric intake to 1400 and see what happens. You see the trainers on the Biggest Loser say the same thing…

My New Years Resolution is to NOT eat chips during the Biggest Loser this season!! Week 1 I ate popcorn instead...and last night...I burned 652 calories on the Treadmill while watching!!! How strong am I? :tongue:
