I love 5/3/1 and moved here after I did SL 5x5 then moved to SL 3x5....it's been a long time for 5/3/1 and I love it still...I do different accessory sets as I feel llike it...but don't committ to just one. My workout takes 30mins max with accessories... I use a paid app Five3One after tyring a few free ones...love this…

why do you only have 730 calories left? if you want to drink choose light beer maybe or vodka and club soda...vodka is like 40 calories a shot. As for Clean eating? what do you mean day 4 of it and you are cheating??? I lost over 50lbs and drank when I wanted...I just chose lower calorie options for the drinking, ensured I…

or the hair loss if from medication...that's what mine was from.

measuring in the wrong spot? not in the same spot? 4 inch gain on your waist is a bit high...are you pregnant? abnormal growth?
-
15lbs in 30 days at the start is not a red flag...lots of fluid i imagine. and the 800 was due to an illness...per the post.

are you gaining weight? If no then you are not going over your TDEE... If you are hungry it could be what you are eating... for example maybe more fats are required...more protein... I am extra hungry after a run day or a dead lift day...so pretty much Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays I am starved...so I eat extra protein.

Yes you have lost muscle...more so because you didn't do any sort of exercise to start with let alone resistance training..... The benefits of strength training are as follows: maintain muscle while losing fat helps maintain bone density esp important for a woman helps with strength (obviously) burns calories...but not as…

even after being into exercise (running included) for over 4 years I do rest days. They are important esp when starting out. Do the c25k as it is designed...

Exactly this... however I know skipping for 10mins burns a good amount of calories...but hard as heck....and I am not in bad shape. The other thing that I tried lately was shooting hoops with the hubby...sort of a game. 8mins you shoot and get your own rebound and then go back to the foul line/3 point line and start again…

what???? seriously...you know it's fluid... Enjoy your holiday...1 day is not going to derail you totally.

Yes...after my surgery I was up 5lbs from excess fluid and the gas...(apparently not all gas is weightless) Give it a bit and it will be fine. But a piece of advice too...scale weight is only one indicator of how you are doing with this whole weight loss thing. Losing weight means all weight...muscle, fat, fluid...and as a…

Agreed with the above...it's not what but how much....and the tablet hasn't made you gain anything...it has no calories. It may have increased your appetite..but that's it. and eating "healthy" whatever that means, doesn't guarantee weight loss either.
-
So you gained weight after the gastric bypass for the same reason you were overweight to begin with. You ate more than you burned. Your current way of eating is not going to help you lose weight unless you are in a calorie deficit...and you don't have to give up the wine...I don't understand why people think that. If you…

Good thing you don't live in my small town. one of the gyms here is doing a 6 week program "total transformation" and with this program the goal is to lose 20lbs or 10% BF...and they give you access to the gym, PT (questionable ones) and an eating plan...all for Free...600$ deposit you get back if you achieve the goal...…

They aren't promoting VLCD just indicating that is what htey are doing so flagging it may not get the desired results.

no I can't go under 1200 a day frequently...I actually get weak, dizzy and sick if I do it for more than 1 day...at 1 day it's iffy to be honest...and then trying to workout...yah okay... the super skinny look is not achievable for me actually...not with my height etc.
-
but if you exercise through the week and this is your rest day why can't you afford to eat??? just curious.... relaxation could be things like watching movies...or playing cards or going for a walk or a hike. Just because it's a rest day doesn't mean you have to sit all day does it? what does your BF want to do?

I didn't do milestone rewards actually. I feel that me losing the weight was great but if I wanted a new haircut/color I got it...new clothing I bought it...a trip...I went, If I wanted snack I ate it.. I decided this time (yes I yo yo'd for years and used to reward myself on milestones) that it was life I was living and…

did you weigh yourself at your parents when you started? Probably not...so your parents scales could have said you started off at 6 more than yours. don't use 2 different scales...use 1 for consistency sakes. ETA: it doesn't matter the scale etc just be consistent with it. I have a cheapo one from Walmart but I just ensure…

just as a note as well...2 or 3 lbs a week is a bit much..1lb is a good rate of loss. "I only lose 1, 2, or 3 pounds a week" just be patient...you didn't gain it all in a month...you won't lose it all. As well stop thinking of this as a "diet" which has an end point. Move your thoughts to changing how you view food and…

believe it or not some can't have a six pack due to genetics...

as a Canadian who see's snow a lot and drives mainly I can see the side of the car person. 1. Main roads are plowed first... 2. Side roads (the ones you usually use) are 2nd but people use them more during snow as they can go slower... "my rage is with the way as soon as we get some snow, a whole cohort of these…

Where was it said it was impossible that bones didn't have different weights. Where was it said that the bones didn't account for some difference in bmi. And the 8lbs came from a post where the individual said they couldn't find the study.

but that is why there is a range... a man who is 5 ft 4 woudl be considered in a healthy weight range between 110 - 144...and that's why it can be applied to both genders.

I think saying it's wildly useless for individuals is a bit of an over stretch. and I have to say...I have no idea what my bf% is...and how do we get a reading we can count on really? Dexa and hydro and bod pod all have an error rate that some find to high (I think I read 5%) and none of the actual calculations work well…

I have my music if I run outside...or a movie if it's inside... however I do know someone who actually does exactly what you said...he loves running...haha.

restart your love affair with food...but only food that deserves it. I love food...but have gotten to the point where it has to be amazing for me to eat it... I am not going to eat crap cake from a store when I can get an amazing heavenly piece of carrot cake with cream cheese frosting at my house... I love…

yes 15% of 155 is 23.25 but 15% of 130 is 19.5...4lbs...apples to apples. Is it possible for one to be 15% and one to be 12% sure...and have an 8lb difference sure but it probably is not the norm just like having an overweight BMI and actually not being overweight is not the norm... but again...smh. so please explain how…
