  • You would have to have a deficit of over 127,000 calories in a week for it to be fat loss. Although I'm not judging one way or the other regarding the Keto diet, it's not good to eat so little while working out. You should at least have your dr. medically supervise you on this plan.
  • You can always order what you like but ask to have half put in a take away container or order a salad and an appetizer as you main course.
  • Count me in too!!
  • My diary is open and I'm getting back on track. Add me if you like.
  • I don't hate myself and I know I'm a great person...in fact...I'm AWSOME!!. But if that scale shifts in the wrong direction and over 3 lbs, I get pissed that I now have to double time it to get it off and keep at my maintenance weight.
  • You are so right! How could I have not seen the light. Thank you so much...I'm cured. Here I thought working every day then dedicating my time and efforts to my three kids, working on a loving relationship with my husband, volunteering at church and school, I thought these things were what made me an adult. Thank you for…
  • I'm a working mom of 3 beautiful daughters. I've been on my journey with MyfitnessPal for almost one year. I'd be happy to encourage you.
  • I so enjoyed this post...I've missed so missed watching Bridezillas on WE tv. It was a guilty pleasure of mine.
  • I can honestly say that my binge eating is attributed to emotions. As a child I hid and ate food to comfort myself for feeling different from the other kids and for being so shy. It then developed into a way to rebel against my mom and brother who always told me I was pretty but would be SO MUCH PRETTIER if I was only a…
  • I've gotten a greatly needed laugh from this thread and I feel your pain. I have a boss, an attorney, who thinks no one has any sense of smell because he will fart in the main office (his are silent but deadly) while talking to you and then uses the files in his hands to waft the odor away from him. Then he tries to hand…
  • You appear too controlling. It sounds like the only thing he has control over is the food, soda and smoking. It has to be his choice and if you can't tell by my profile pic, my hubby has some weight to lose too (and health issues). Recently, my husband saw what fun I had after running a 5k and guess what? He made the…
  • Will give it a try...50 Miles for this month.
  • I've lost 52lbs. over the last year. When I first started jogging I started on a treadmill and couldn't go faster than 4 mph and didn't burn more than 300 calories but don't give up! It's a long process but I found a running group through my local YMCA and it feels great to run a 5K while talking to people and not be…
  • I buy online or at certain grocery stores (i.e. whole foods) stevia and stevia/monk fruit sweetened iced teas and sodas. There're more expensive so I don't drink as much but I have them available to me when I feel the need. I have joint inflammation issues and since I've been off the artificial sweeteners I feel so much…
  • I deal with this too. I'm a recovering emotional over eater. In fact I have in the past allowed the day I get weighed in at the nutritionist to be a "black hole day" where all the calories I eat after seeing her and weighing in "don't count". The fact is, even if I don't log it, the calories will find me. What I've been…
  • I rarely have time to change before picking up kids, making dinner, dropping off kids, picking up dry-cleaning, picking kids back up, eating dinner, going over homework with kids, yelling at kids, cleaning up after kids, drying tears of kids, cracking jokes with kids, THEN I change, go to the gym come back see the hubby,…
  • I've been at this weight loss thing most of my adult life but have been super serious since May but have been on MFP since July (down a total of 60.5 lbs as of this morning!!) and always look to get and give support to other Moms out there.
  • I'm down 60lbs with 10-15lbs to go so I know your struggle. Feel free to friend me.
  • Would you really be happier if you gave up? I know if I did then I would gain weight back and that is not an option for me. You are what I call "standing on the ledge" but DON"T JUMP! Truth is I've been where you are (at one point in time I weight 235lbs) and I thought I was doing everything right and just wasn't meant to…
  • You are an inspiration! Thank you for sharing.
  • As a mother of two 15 year old teenage girls, please don't take advise from this forum seriously and DO NOT QUOTE FROM TWILIGHT! Both my daughters (one of which read the books) rolled their eyes when I read them your quote. As my eldest twin said "grow a pair, start a conversation and see if she's interested. At least if…
  • You can add me, a 44 year old working mom, mother of 3, chauffeur, cook, concierge.....Weighed 245 lbs at my heaviest. Never going there again.
  • I'd like to thank everyone for their opinions and the discussions that have come about. Next time I post though I'll have to be very specific such as my daughter had hip surgery last year and cannot do many activities, including gym; that my whole family eats what I prepare and 99% of the time it consists of lean protein,…
  • Let me clarify something. My kids have more than one snuggle time with me. All three of my kids are very snuggle inclined because that's the way we are as a family. I was just trying to get the workout over with so we could concentrate on the rest of our day which include a snuggle at 8:30 - 8:45 am before I take her to…
  • I was 28 held my niece and knew I wanted my own. Life was great before kids but each one of my children has added so much more meaning and joy to my life. Don't get me wrong it's the toughest job I've ever experienced and these teen years are rough and scary. But it's amazing to think how a microscopic sperm and egg…
  • Aiming for 160 which is where I felt my best.
  • From someone with a full time job. 3 teenagers and a husband with a 2 hour each way commute I find that if I have to choose between cardio and weights, I go for cardio, it de-stresses me more and sometimes I go into the gym set a calorie count on the equipment, reach my goal, and get the hell out and onto the next thing on…
  • I've been logging on everyday for the last 4 months, you can add me.
  • One of my Aunts told me if I lost more weight my face would look more sunken and people don't like to look at that. Meanwhile I was standing next to her skeleton of a daughter and asked my aunt if she gives the same advice to her own kids and walked away. I live my life for my husband, kids and now for myself and I could…
  • Incline varies from 1 to 3 so I guess it would be similar to outside. As for boredom I don't find any, my gym has tv's for each treadmill and an ipod connector so I watch a show or have cc on while playing music and I lose myself.
