I suppose it's because I'm from the United States... I sort of take the politics for what it is. Obviously we have a system different from any other country, but growing up with it sort of desensitizes me to it. That combined with my youth leads me to think more in terms of social injustices/imbalances in quality of life…

I'm not sure necessarily if only certain states are religious having only lived in some of them, though I do agree some states are viewed as much more fanatical than others (the "Bible Belt" for instance). Quite honestly, I do think religion characterizes the US, though perhaps only from certain European points of view. I…

A year back or so I was on it for 8 months. I can't say I noticed any significant weight gain but I had to quit it when it made me horribly moody.

You look like Katy Perry! Gorgeous :) kudos to you!

I have the same problem with keeping up motivation! One thing I will say that is great about MFP is that you can adjust how much weight you'd like to lose per week. If you feel yourself slipping up a lot, maybe tone it down to a half pound per week. In regards to carbs, I've heard that keeping your intake split 1/3 carbs,…

I'm fairly new to MFP (less than a month) and very new to this group! Age: 18 Height: 5'9" SW: 152 CW: 146.5 GW: 140 (though eventually maybe even 135!) HW: 156 (before MFP) LW: 139 (before MFP) Exercise habits: Fairly sedentary, unfortunately. When I do work out, I walk/ jog/ stationary bike.

I was pretty close- only 2.5% off, but it was still eye opening for me :)

The nonexistent kind! Hahaha just kidding :P If I do manage to get off my lazy butt, I typically walk on an incline, use a stationary bike, or jog.

Hi everybody! I just joined this group yesterday (go figure), but I've been a declared agnostic atheist since about 14. Mostly I'm here at MFP to lose some weight before I get too old and it becomes more difficult to get it off. I also want to live a generally healthier lifestyle.

This is a bit late (just joined the group), but I figured I'd share anyhow :) Long story short, I've had noticeable GAD since I was 9 and it manifests in different ways. My anxiety attacks typically involve a ton of stomach aches and pain, hyperawareness of the body (especially to pain/ discomfort), shallow/ inconsistent…
