I heard that before from a dietitian and from my endocrinologist. There are many schools of thought. I've given up bread and lost 8 lbs in one week. So I would say--it depends on the person. It depends on the person. I'm literally addicted to it so I've been avoiding it. It's my binge food and nothing good comes from that. If you can stay within your calories and still lose....why torture yourself? :) Good luck!
