Get a personal training session at the gym, tell the trainer exactly what you would like to learn and what direction you would like to go in. ALso ive found magazines like fitness fx and Oxygen to be useful in racking up different circuits. I then use an app to create workouts on my phone so I dont need to carry the mag…

I remember a health professional saying that its more the amount of calories/food over a 24hr period with exercise not so much when. Although saying that eating something high in sugar before bed isnt going to do you any good. Eating at 6 and then bed at 11:40 well that means you haven't eaten for 5hrs no wonder your…

If you cut down your carbs ( I was averaging 55% carbs before switching to IIFYM) and up your good fats and protein, now my aims are 40% carb 30% fat and protein, its amazing how much you get to eat and how full you feel. You also get to use full fat dairy etc. I have been doing it for over a week now and while I haven't…

Do you weigh your food? only asking as serving sizes are very small. I found that when I began to weigh my food I realised I was eating more than one serve at a time. Roasted pumpkin with a olive oil spray is still high (relatively) in calories when your eating 2 cups...yumm love roasted pumpkin!

We are always the last people to see change. You look great and I bet you felt a lot better wearing that dress for the second time. Have you asked others if they have seen a difference? Keep up the good work you've done so well to lose weight the first time and now again after a break! an inspiration for people who are…

Im teaching my dog to run beside me and my bike. I know you have a bad knee so cant jog, but teaching a dog to heel when walking or running is a must before moving onto a bike. You have to be able to trust in your ability to control him off the lead. In case you have to let go or to stop him from running in front of your…

You would have to research which heart rate monitor you use and see if you can uncover it. Garmin have some really hard reviewers that get right into all the stats. It may be time to upgrade or can you borrow a friends and see if there are major discrepancies. If you eat back every single exercise calorie but it is over…

Nuts and avocados are so healthy for you, don't cut down on them instead build them into your plan. Keep a treat in your calories specifically for before bed. Then your not binging your following a plan! To get the benefits of raw you can aim for 80% and it still works. So even if you eat meat as long as your meal is 80%…

Have you ever looked into raw eating? I was a pretty fit vegetarian that swiched to the lifestyle over summer and I have learned recipes and nutritional information I have incorporated into my normal lifestyle. Its very easy to get stuck in the same cycle when your vegan/vegetarian because it feels like there are less…

Research what algorithm your HRM monitor uses. I have just started using a Garmin 210 and it uses one of the most accurate algorithms to assess calories burned only 7-10% buffer. 60 mins of heavy training while riding my horse and I burn 330 cals. Everyone is different but it sounds a little bit out ;) if you've been…
