I strongly advise those that suffer from SAD to take at least 2000 mg of Vitamin D3 a day - within 3 weeks you should see a huge decrease in your symptoms

You're 5' 10" tall and only eat 1200 calories a day? My goodness, your body has to be starving. I'm only 5' 4" and eating around 1900 and I still get hungry. Your BMR alone has to be higher than 1200.

I have a "cheat day", "earned day", whatever you want to call it, every Saturday. Body fat tested at 18.93%, 47 year old female. Works for me :) Eating a cookie as we speak and it's delicious because I hardly ever have one

nuts, peanut butter, cheese.....this is tough, i've never had a problem eating 1500 calories

Yes! You are going to be amazed at how good you will feel when your D levels come up. I could not believe it myself and then i started talking to others about D deficiency. My muscles ached, I was depressed, tired, run down, felt like crap and I feel like a whole new person. Took me about 3 weeks to see a change but it has…

Almost 47 and I take that challenge :) Fighting, wrestling, and kicking the crap out of belly fat with cardio and lifting heavy and eating FAT, eating a lot of fat, 40% of my daily intake.

I too have big muscular calves and I used to be self conscious about them too but not anymore. Do you know how many people would kill to have big muscular calves? Do not be ashamed of them, be proud! If you still can't bring yourself to feel that confident, perhaps a pair of gray tights would break up the black outfit a…

I love you. Been seeing your posts for quite awhile now and always so inspirational. I too hit my goal of 125 in May 2012 and am now at 130 (fluctuates) yet I'm smaller. Thanks to your posts and others like it I just laugh at the scale and gaze lovingly at my muscles :)

Awesome work, you look fantastic!

I have a FT4 too and I have never had that happen, usually when the battery is dying or the strap needs to be washed I get a lower burn or it gets stuck on 00 HR. I would tend to think it's accurate. Perhaps put fresh batteries in the wrist part and the chest part and wash the strap and see if it happens again

I sprinkle it with old bay and wrap it in foil and bake for about 30 minutes on 350 or you can grill it faster, each side 5 minutes. I have also skipped the old bay and placed one slice of lemon on it and wrapped in foil as well. Both tastes delicious

Met my wonderful hubby at a bar of all places :)

Are you talking net calories? If so I just ignore that. For instance, I eat 1700 calories a day, I do not worry about my exercise calories, I ignore that. I have ingested 1700. It will all average out weekly for the days that I eat 1700 and don't work out.
-
If you go by this method then you eat 1680 every single day whether you work out or not. You have already calculated your workout into your TDEE.

Wearing last years fall shirts this year without a muffin top :)

Start by upping them by 100 calories a day for a few weeks and see how that goes. I found that when I went from 1200 to 1400 I actually lost faster and now at 1700 maintaining weight but building muscle.

Great question. A lower weight doesn't necessarily mean less calories if you have more muscle mass. With that being said, i've customized MFP diary

What a fantastic NSV and you are right, your grandchildren will always remember that time you all chased the ice cream truck.

Oh, so I started with Splenda, heard the horror stories, switched to Agave, heard bad things and now i'm with Stevia and hearing back things. All I want is one pack of sweetener in my coffee - what's a girl to do? LOL
-
That is very intriguing, I have heard Splenda is horrible (pure chemicals) so I switched to Stevia.

Hang in there. I didn't meet the love of my life until I was 44 and he was so worth the wait. I, too, dated musicians and crappy guys until one day I decided I needed to figure out why i kept going after the unavailable men. Just about the time I figured it out, I met my husband.

I was going to mention Vitamin D as well. A doctor recommended it when I mentioned muscle soreness constantly and a back aches. Within one month of taking it my energy level increased and pain has subsided quite a bit. I feel like a whole new person. I take 1000-2000 mg of Vitamin D3 per day (in the morning)

I had it done at a local rehab hospital. At that time I was 147 lbs (5' 4") and it was calculated at 1710, Online calculators put my BMR around 1230. Edited to add: talk to your doctor, they can find a place locally that does the test
-
I eat my TDEE minus 20% so my exercise calories are already built in. I starved myself on 1200 calories a day for months even though my BMR was 1700 (professionally done at a hospital). I am stronger, healthier and weight less now than I ever did at 1200. Don't be afraid to experiment a bit.
