You go girl!

TV helps. I would also start incorporating shorter interval runs into your schedule to keep it interesting. HIIT is beneficial to any runner's routine anyway. I did 4 months of training on the treadmill in the summer because I live in Texas and I would die in the heat otherwise. I have run 10 miles on the treadmill…

Make sure you are hydrated. Drink before, after, and during your workouts.

Like I said, it is possible for b/c to cause you to gain weight. WATER WEIGHT. You can't gain fat without an excess in calories. It might very minimally affect your metabolism, but honestly it's so minuscule.

IS THIS COMING ON TOO STRONG?!?!?!?!?!

Using birth control as an excuse for your own bad habits is not a good way to start your weight loss. Accept some responsibility. Birth control will not cause you to pile on fat. You maybe get a maximum of 3 pounds of water retention worst case scenario.

Watching Real Housewives <_<

If I ate even 1 donut before or during a run I would be very very very nauseous! This sounds like a dumb idea to me.

No one told you that you can't do those things or enjoy them. The only one who decides your attitude is YOU.

Lift weights and lose weight VERY slowly. Then pray that your genetics will do the rest. *ETA: You're not heavy enough to really worry about loose skin. I lost 70 pounds and barely have any. None of it is noticeable to anyone but me.

ugh I have a family friend who is exactly like this. I have to literally restrain the urge to slap her.

Lol yes!

I got a boob job. And I don't regret it at all. It matches the rest of my new body now, and I feel so much more comfortable showing off what I worked so hard for.

"Sorry I can't eat ice cream, I've lost 11 whole pounds and I don't want to gain it all back!"

Usually people who are at a healthy weight on the BMI scale but have an unhealthy amount of body fat.

When they convince themselves that living off lean cuisine and slim fast is "healthy".

Avocado is a huge one. A single avocado is 250 calories and has lots of healthy fats. You could also start using more oils when you cook, that will add 120 calories per tbsp.

I managed to go from 50 pounds overweight and completely sedentary to running a half marathon in 5 months. You got this. :)

-How many calories did you eat? When I began losing, I didn't count. When I hit a plateau after losing the first 40 pounds I cleaned up my diet and stuck to 1400-1600. I wasn't very strict about counting though. - How long did it take you to reach your goal? I lost 70 pounds in just about a year. - Did you have a high…

This is coming from a former picky eater: Do yourself a favor and try new foods. Just try them. Variety is the spice of life. I lived most of my life eating nothing but bread, pasta, and cheese.

Fat in foods is good for you. Your body needs fat to distribute nutrients. Your body NEEDS fat. Getting them from high quality sources from nuts, avocados, etc is preferrable of course. There's no harm in eating fat from french fries or pizza though in moderation.

It will take you a long long time to see the difference. Measure yourself weekly and in 3-4 months you will probably see a reduction in inches as long as you are consistent and honest. Everyone loses fat at a different place and rate. The first place I shrunk was in my boobs :(

My tradition is to have a milkshake at midnight but I'm going to budget that in for the day. :)

I LOVE my Polar FT4. It does not sync with MFP but it's not that hard to just input the calories manually. I got mine for $75, which I think is a pretty reasonable price. I've found it to be spot on in terms of accuracy, and it's really easy to use. Plus the chest strap is considerably more comfortable then many I have…

Juicing strips almost all the fiber out of the vegetable, you're better off blending it if you're gonna go this route. Also blenders are a lot cheaper.

For someone who is 5'8, anything under 122 pounds would put you in the underweight margin of the BMI chart. As long as you are healthy and not damaging your health at your size, then you are ok. In terms of personal preference, that's a whole other story. I think thin and slender women are very attractive, but there is a…

When I was 17 I felt worthless and desperate for attention from ANY man who was willing to give it. That landed me in an extremely abusive relationship for 2.5 years that completely drained me emotionally and financially. Don't make the same mistake. Your worth is in no way tied to your appearance.

You don't have to pick a goal weight and stick to it. My original goal weight was 140, and I was still unhappy at that size so my new goal is 125. Once I get there I may or may not change it again.

Thanks for sharing! This is a great way to stay on track especially when you're getting started. Eventually it will just become second nature. :)
