Yes! I have lost 70 and am looking to lose a few more! My story is on my profile. :)

I have trained for 2 half marathons and 1 was cancelled and I got injured right before the other one. :( I signed up for the Dallas Big D half marathon which is on April 6th! Praying I actually get to run it... Haha

That's fantastic! What a great milestone :)

Literally my whole life changed. I found value in myself and was able to leave an abusive relationship I had felt trapped in for years. It made me want to take care of myself and not starve myself to be thin. Yes, I lost 70 pounds over the course of a year. But really it's the internal changes that made the biggest change…

I call bull here. There is definitely a such thing as food addiction. Just like any other addiction, it takes time and usually outside assistance to get it under control.

I lost 70 pounds doing nothing but running, but now I am adding in weight training to lower my body fat percentage. Also, you should switch up your runs. Do some slow, long runs and some short speedy ones. This will do wonders for your endurance, and also makes things more interesting.

I believe a standard hass avocado is 250 calories, that makes each slice 125 calories. That's how I log it. Unless your avocado is TINY, it's probably not 80 calories since they are high in (good) fats.

I know how you feel, I am a serial TV snacker. But for that reason I only watch maybe 2 hours of TV a day, and one of those I do while on the treadmill. For the other hour I sit down and eat dinner so problem solved. :) If you absolutely must snack, have something light like grapes, carrots with hummus, or no butter…

If you have a food processor you can make your own peanut butter, it's so easy!

I think the man has good intentions and might genuinely want to help people, but it's better for his wallet if he throws out some stupid garnica cambogia crap now and then.
-
Braid it and then put it in a bun? Princess Leah buns?

There are some extremely calorie dense fruits and vegetables out there. Avocados are 250 calories a piece, and bananas are usually 105-110 each. So yes, you need to count them.

I've always loved looking through the success stories, feels great to be a part of them. :)

Unfortunately Target is extremely overpriced.

I just came up with a new amazing recipe last night. It's a little more then 5 ingredients but it's still super simple and delicious! It's SUPER filling and has only 1g of fat. 1 can low sodium chickpeas (or you can soak your own if you're into that) Handful of cilantro 1 clove garlic Juice of 1/2 lemon 1/2 cucumber…

I'm 5'5 and 127 pounds. When I was measured with calipers I got put at 26% and in the hydrostatic tank I was at 21%. I think you'll be very pleased with the results if you do a bod pod test!
-
This depressing me because I'm 5'5 and 130 pounds and apparently that's fat now. :noway: But that aside, you need to see a professional. It's great that you want to recover, and are taking it into your own hands. However you need to be under a doctor supervised eating plan and seeing a psychologist.

Why is that? I get 60-70g every day and I promise I don't spend all day on the toilet. :P
-
I usually get 60+ g of fiber every day and I'm fine!

I had to stop buying them because I literally started dreaming about them.

If you are worried about sodium, cut down on processed foods. I usually eat less then 1200mg of sodium a day because I eat a mostly plant based diet. My sodium comes from bread and boca burgers lol.

A lot of the blogs that we are discussing here advocate being overweight and obese as a good thing. They ENCOURAGE weight gain because they believe that only overweight people are attractive. Clearly you have never come across one before, which makes you lucky.
-
Probably because this thread is about fat acceptance. Not drug use or any of that other stuff. And on top of all of this, I will never bully or be rude to someone because of their size. I just don't believe they are healthy. If that's considered fat shaming, I'm guilty.
-
If you can't walk up a flight of stairs without gasping for air and you feel like you're going to pass out or die, you're not healthy. Regardless of your size. There. Happy now?
-
Even skinny and/or fit people can have undetected health issues, I acknowledge this. I'm just saying by choosing consciously to be overweight and stay that way, without regard for the effects, is irresponsible. Fat acceptance blogs advocate that there is no need to lose weight, and deny the reality that extra weight can…

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS TRYING TO SAY BUT FAILED! Thank you. :)

Being too thin and being too overweight are both bad. If you're overweight and working on improving your health, I applaud you. I have all the respect in the world for you. I'm just saying that a sedentary person at 300 pounds preaching health is delusional. If you're underweight or recovering from an eating disorder and…
