See your doctor. I'm hypoglycemic and have learned that for me, I need protein to keep my sugars from crashing. For my snacks I do fruit and Greek yogurt, fruit and nuts, peanut butter, lunch meat or protein shakes. Every meal also includes a lean protein, rarely do I have issues with crashes anymore, unless I'm upping my…

I'm not sure how much will be relevant for you, I'm hypoglycemic and have low baseline glucose numbers. However exercising can cause my sugars to crash. For me I drink a protein shake (25 grams of protein), with a banana and mixed fruit about 25-30 minutes before working out. I'm not sure what you would need as far as…

Awesome job! Congratulations on the loss!

I've always thought "skinny" was as derogatory as "fat", that seems to be the way people I've been around have used it. The complimentary words I've always heard are "thin" "lean" and "fit", where as skinny meant under weight, more skin and bones kind of look. (Example: she so skinny, or she's too skinny)

I took it for years and had no problems, I gained weight but not because of the shot. However after taking it for 7 years I ended up with severe complications and the doctor took me off it (and all hormonal birth control) it took 2 years to get my hormones back to being normal. Anyway within the first 3 months of being off…

I just started Insanity max:30.

My plan for today was to stay under maintenance, went out to dinner with hubby and stayed under goal (yes it took my exercise calorie to do it, but I was under goal)!!!!

I personally don't find it any harder now at 37 than it was in my 20's, actually for me it's easier to find the time to go to the gym. We eat out a lot less now than we did when I was in my 20's as well. Yes it takes work, yes for some it's harder than for others in general. However even if I was giving scientific proof…

I use a fitbit , I'm not 100% sure how your phones tracking works. The Fitbit that I have is linked to MFP. For an example the other day I did a total of 12,574 steps while working out. Because I log my workouts (and include a start time) I get a 0 fitbit adjustment for those steps. However my daily steps usually end up…

My middle child has always been one who only poops every few days. When she was younger I talked to her doctor about it, his response was as long as she's not constipated, doesn't have difficulty going or any stomach cramps or odd color stool, it's fine. That everyone's bodies work differently. Yes that was in regards to a…

X 4 I go over my sugar limit every single day, however the vast majority of my sugar intake is fruits. If I were to stick to MFP recommendations I would likely end up in the hospital. I'm hypoglycemic and have to have fruits and carbs to increase my glucose levels. Going overv on sugars hasn't stopped me from losing 30…

If you use the app at the bottom of your diary there is a tab that says nutrition, when the next page comes up at the bottom it says daily or weekly. If your asking about the website I have no clue

Unless you have a medical reason to limit your sugar intake, there is no need to track it, nor stick to the goal that MFP sets. I go over my sugar "goal" given by MFP every single day, just for the simple fact that I am hypoglycemic and require a certain number of carbs and sugars (such as in fruits) to keep my sugar…

Aside from feeling hungry before a meal time or after a very strenuous workout I haven't been hungry since I started.

If I'm not seeing a result on the scale, I'm seeing it in my measurements or in improved fitness goals. Sometimes you have to look for the results that aren't on the scale, if you focus only on the scale you're setting yourself up for disapointent

I've had two "cheat days" since starting 162 days ago, those were Thanksgiving and Christmas, I increased my daily calories to maintenance (plus I had exercise calories as I worked out both days, which I ended up not needing), I will do the same thing for my 16th wedding anniversary next month, and my birthday in June…

Fat, protein and carbs

I'm on day 162 I've had 2 "cheat days" thanksgiving and Christmas where I increased my calories to maintenance and since I still worked out I got exercise calories as well (which ironically I didn't need). If there's something I really want I fit it into my calories.

I badly fractured my pelvis years ago (requiring two surgeries, plates, screws and God knows what else but I light up metal detectors). I hadn't been trying to lose weight prior (I was actually pregnant when the "accident" happened, while being born a month early my daughter was fine), anyways. I was told to not try to…

How about a not so new mom?

Feel free to add me as well. I'm on day 162 and 29.3 pounds lost with 40-50 more to go
-
Then how are your exercise calories bring added in, if your not logging them?

On the app under any meal you can enter breastfeeding (you the select the one that fits you) If your exclusively breastfeeding (-500) select that one. If your baby is older (and on solid foods select either the -300 or minus-200). Selecting these will add the calories to your daily goals. These are all the calories you…

Not only that we have no idea if her pregnancy is "normal" or if there is something unknown going on that makes her high risk or otherwise not medically safe for her to lose weight. From the Society of Obstetricians and gynecologists of Canada: The following guidelines may be useful for you, but keep in mind that weight…

Whatever works for you that will be consistent. I personally weigh every morning, either naked or in underwear after I pee and before I eat. I log on the happy scale app everyday, I log on MFP once a week
-
When you enter the exercise, edit the calorie burn to 1

I haven't gotten to the point that I have created spreadsheets (though my inner nerd taps her hat to you) mainly because I really don't have the time to dedicate to it. However I do obsessively measure everything (weighing things twice, double checking entries etc), I do also weigh every morning and track it in a separate…

I have the Fitbit Flex which tracks calories (I think I can set it up to track sleep but eh i don't sleep enough to track it) I like the fact that it counts steps, I dislike the fact that your arm has to be moving to count them (I spend a lot of time carrying stuff around, so I get stiffed on a lot of my steps). I like the…

As someone who's last baby was born at a low birth weight (due to medical complications) I would have happily gained 150 pounds during my pregnancy if it could have saved my son from the complications he had during the first year of his life that were caused simply because he didn't get all of the nutrients he needed.…
