I consistently wear a heart rate monitor and consistently burn between 400 and 600 depending on the instructor and how "full out" I do the moves....I have been logging mine under aerobics high impact and if I need to adjust the calories based my my ,monitor results I do so manually.

My kids gave me a polar ft4 for Christmas...don't work out without it now...chest strap stays in place, easy to use and training files are easy to pull back up...go for it!

I go to Zumba three times a week and consistently wear a heart rate, calorie burner monitor...at full out for an hour, i easily and routinely burn 650 - 700 calories...on a less intensive day, and a differnet instructor, I will burn 450 to 500...
