  • I'm a fruitarian. I eat only fruit, nothing else and I feel pretty good! More energy, better digestion, improved dental health and weight loss (10 kg in 6 weeks to be exact). :)
  • Of course you use muscle while riding, but cycling does not demand big and strong muscles. You use muscle picking up a pen, but you don't have to be able to bench 100 kg in order to pick up that pen. Look at the pros, they aren't very muscular. Here's 2012 Tour de france winner Bradley Wiggins…
  • Happened to me too, but i went away after about a month.
  • You can loose weight on a plant based low fat diet while being sedentary but in order to get lean and skinny you need to move your *kitten*.
  • I just did a diabetes test actually, I've been freaking out the past 6 months because I've experienced some of the symptoms related to diabetes. But thank god the test came back negative. So that's one less disease to worry about i suppose! :)
  • Thanks. I take b12 pills everyday and also supplement with iron since I'm a cyclist I need that hemoglobin to be high. So the only nutrient I sometimes worry about is getting enough calories during the days I ride +100km. I could probably ride 100km while calorie restricting but it wouldn't be very effective long term…
  • So me loosing weight while eating 4000 cals a day, that's due to what? Before I would easily gain weight if I ate that much. Try it out for yourself before you judge me.
  • Mine is around 37. A low heart rate is usually not a problem unless your really overweight and your conditioning sucks, then it could be a problem. But if your HR is low and your conditioning is good then it's no problem at all.
  • Great that you've lost weight and being so dedicated. I'm just preaching what I personally have experienced and why I've other people do. Yes, I cut calories before while eating meat and a high fat diet and yes I did loose weight but I just ended up gaining that weight right after. I used to be obsessed with weight and…
  • Oh, meat is the best source of protein? Yea, right! How about beans and lentis? Besides, this whole hype about protein builds muscle is overrated, training builds muscle, but yes you do need protein in order to build muscle but not that much protein.
  • Maybe if you lay in bed all day stuffing your mouth full of hamburgers. When I first went vegan I didn't do any training due to slight overtraining but still ate like would die the next day and I lost 4 kg just like that. Now tell me, how is this possible if what you're saying is true. I weigh 69 kg and am super fit, and I…
  • Why promote veganism to people who already are vegans. I'm just giving advice, that's all, just exercising my freedom of speech. A high carb low fat vegan diet is the way to go , but if calorie restricting is working for you then fine keep doing it, im not forcing anyone.
  • If you would pay attention you would see that I stated that it is not impossible to gain weight on a vegan diet, heck a vegan diet can be real unhealthy if you eat a bunch of chips and deep fried fries. I'm saying that a high carb low fat vegan diet is the way to go. To be honest, since I went vegan I haven't had the…
  • LCHF = Low carb High fat is bull****. Why cut out the primary source of energy, carbs. If you want to loose fat then why the hell would you stuff your mouth full of fat. Carbs for the win! Look at how the kenyan runners eat, they eat a very high carb diet with little fat and little protein yet they are slim as ****. Carb…
  • 4000 cals give or take, sometimes more sometimes less. Feeling tired the first month or so is normal, heck I felt like I was dying the first month but that's just because it takes time for your body to make the transition. Now I feel great, more energy than ever and my stamina has also increased due to the limited amount…
  • Listen, if you're hungry or you just want some food then go and do it, we are a part of nature and in nature there is no calorie restriction. If a wolf had access to food at all times he would eat is brains out without putting on a single pound. Look at pets for instance, a cat eats all they and sleeps all they but won't…
  • Excess calories from the wrong sources will turn you in to a slob. I'm not dictating I'm just trying to help you guys loose weight without going hungry and at the same time doing the animals a favor, that's all. Check this guy out, he lost half his body weight eating a high carb low fat vegan diet WITHOUT CALORIE…
  • What do you mean?
  • Look at other meat eaters such as wolves or dogs, they have bigger stronger teeth than us, they have claws and they can digest raw meat which we can't. Yes, we can eat meat but you can also run a marathon in cycling shoes.
  • You can still gain weight while being on a vegan diet if you eat bad vegan foods high in fat. "Excess calories will make you gain weight", not really unless your metabolism is messed up. When a wolf catches its pray he/she doesn't stop and go "wait a minute, I shouldn't eat so much I might gain weight", the wolf ****ing…
  • Binge on healthy foods like fruits and stuff, avoid nuts. Gaining weight due to to much fruit is impossible unless you eat a bunch of other **** on the side like meat and high fat foods. For the best overall health and weight loss go vegan and stick to a high carb low fat and low protein diet and I can guarantee that you…
  • It's possible but you'd have to starve.
