  • I am in the second month and for those workouts I burn roughly 350-450 calories (not recovery day) during the workout. I am 5ft and 103 and unsure about bodyfat amount.
  • I am in maintenance mode now, but I did. Granted I only lost 12 lbs, but I have always loved a big dinner with a drink (meddling kids) and it hasn't seemed to be a problem. The Mister and I love to cook and eat big family dinners so it's natural to eat more for dinner.
  • I have around the same amount (dinner is my favorite meal of the day) and I will have a drink, large dinner (grilled chicken, grilled peppers, baked potato, and then a treat.
  • *Sniff* I have to work really hard for my burns.
  • I exercise so I can eat more. I exercise so I can drink my wine. Why do YOU care what I do? IMO it doesn't look like I have a problem with what I am doing.
  • Isn't being a parent fun?! One more reason I love having children. My youngest is turning 2 (still breastfeeding) and my hair is still adjusting. Note to self - When the Mister is irritating me put hairball on in the shower.
  • I am 5ft and 103. My cheapie scale has my bf at 21.5% and online calculations using measurements come up with less. I have no idea the true number. I am set on lightly active, but workout 6 days a week. Calories are at 1610 + exercise calories. It usually ends up being around 1900. Some days a little less if my kids eat my…
  • Dinner is my favorite meal of the day and when I eat the most. The Mister and I are pretty good cooks and I want to eat what we make. I eat small meals during the rest of the day so I can have that big dinner.
  • I am 5ft, 103 and I eat 1610 and then add in exercise. It usually is around 1900 calories. Today I will eat around 2300.
  • I have a drink every night after the kids go to bed.
  • First I would enjoy my date night with my husband. What is there to life if you can't enjoy doing things with the people you love? So you go over your calories, but I also saw you were under your calories by 300+ one day this week. One night isn't going to negate all your hard work. If I felt like I had to do something to…
  • The last 3 pounds took me about 3 months to lose. Maybe if I cut out carbs I could have lost it sooner, but I don't want to feel restricted. ETA - I am 5ft and small boned.
  • Meh, NPR told me coffee was good for me last week.
  • Yoga! I went through a brutal VBAC, which consisted of 2 days of active labor and 2+ hours of pushing. The breathing, visualization, and the flexibility from the yoga kept me going. The nurse told me she had never seen anyone hold their own feet during the final part of pushing. Good Luck!
  • Agree? No. My favorite thing I have read on here is, "I'll do me and you do you."
  • Meh, I don't see why the number is such a big deal. Clothing sizes are different from label to label and inflated for that matter. You want to be a 2, then go for it. You want to be a 12, then go for it. I am a size 0, maybe a 00, but at 5 ft with a small frame (not quite 32-22-34) it's not that ridiculous. There are men…
  • Hmm I might be convinced. While pregnant the belly went out and the bun went down. It's just not the same.
  • Yes and no. Twins - I was stuck with 25 lbs left to shed at a year. After a year it came off. Singleton - I lost all the weight by 4 months.
  • I tried this a few years ago and I was always hungry and counting down until the next time I could eat. Now, I eat a small breakfast, a small lunch, a snack after my workout, a big dinner, and a dessert/snack before bed. I like the bulk of my calories at night.
  • I have a one beer or one glass of wine every night and on Sat. more than one.
  • I agree. I have breastfed a set of twins until they were over 2 and over 20 weeks pregnant and I am still breastfeeding my almost 2 year old. Breastfeeding is a commitment and if you want to breastfeed you don't want to make it any harder.

  • I have had one c-section and a VBAC. However my c-section was with double breech twins and I was measuring well past 40 weeks when I delivered. I put on my prom dress from 1998 and I am smaller now than when I went to prom. ETA - My profile pic was taken mid p90x. I have since finished and am in my second week on Insanity.
  • You wear that bikini! I had a set of twins and then less than 2.5 years later another baby. I have stretch marks and I wore a bikini this year. There is no magic cream that will make them fade, so you gotta embrace them.
  • I did yoga 3 days a week until the week I delivered. I could grab my feet when I delivered and I think it really helped since I was in active labor for over 2 days and pushed for over 2 hours. Also I did a daily walk with my twins in the stroller nearly every day. Good luck!
  • It depends on your LP.
  • The only thing I am responding to in reference to carbs is: Page 5 "Sorry, but untrue. There is no biological need for carbs." Again, I feel that if there were no biological need for carbs, then it wouldn't be present in breastmilk. I feel the same way about fat. If you don't want to eat grains, then so be it. I enjoy my…
  • The rate of weight gain for a breast fed baby decreases after 6 months. Many peds get upset the the child appears to no longer be gaining, but when a WHO chart is used, then the percent is different. I am not sure what drinking milk has to do with eating carbs. My point was that if the body was designed not to have carbs,…
  • This has been stated, and I stated it in another thread, if there is no biological need, then why does breastmilk have carbs? It's 37% carbs, which isn't terribly high, but it isn't zero either. ETA - I am in the best shape of my life and I eat carbs. There aren't many foods that compare to a hot loaf of bread straight…
  • Yes, you and all the people with PA out there.
  • I am not an expert, far from it, on diet and nutrition, but I am not convined that we don't need carbs. The food made by humans, for humans, is 37% carbs. Sure it's lactose, but it's not carb free. It would seem that the human body is designed to eat a balance.
