Sometimes a fattier choice of meat doesn't agree with me.

I am 5ft and have a small frame. I am a size 0. Before I became pregnant I was eating around 2000 calories per day with working out. I would hardly call that starving myself.
-
The whole eating for two thing ends up meaning too much weight gain. I mean you only need 300 more calories and that's not a lot. If you plan on breastfeeding you eat more than when pregnant. Unless there is a reason to be concerned, then continue to eat healthy and keep working out. Your body will thank you in the end.

You have them or you don't. 5', 101 lbs, and no thigh gap.

We eat dinner between 6:30 - 7:15. It may be a bit earlier in the winter and a bit longer in the summer. Eat dinner when you want to eat dinner. The time on the clock has nothing to do with losing weight.
-
What she said, You aren't eating enough calories.

I have three young (under 5) children and I workout during nap time. Have you ever tried to take a run with one child in the jogging stroller and two on their bikes with training wheels in a hilly neighborhood? You spend more time helping the kids get up the hills than you do actually running.

This reminds me of when I asked god for boobs. I am now an atheist.

There is a lot of assumption that because you are short, can't eat a lot. Again, being short doesn't mean you are doomed to 1200 calories for life.
-
I am 5 ft and and 101. Yesterday I ate a little over 2000 calories. Being short isn't an automatic low calorie lifestyle.
-
All of this.

I am 5 ft and in maintenance. I just increased my calories another 100 this week.

Pay the doctor or pay the grocer.

I will send them to public school when the time comes, but we have a dedicated Learning Room and do preschool year around. Here is what we are doing and have done - http://twostepsbehindsixlittlehands.blogspot.com/

A crib = a safe place for a child to sleep A car seat = a restraint to keep a child safe in the car A leash = a way to keep a child safe in public Do you notice the same word in all of those things? My grandmother used rope for her 4 kids and your grandmother didn't. It hasn't changed that there isn't one way to parent.
-
First, I am not sure why I am responding to you since you seem have failed to tell us exactly how you go about disciplining a young child correctly and have some warped sense of car seat use, but I am nursing my daughter, so why not? I am not interested in ruling my children with an iron fist. Like adults, they have their…

Wait! What? You mean to tell me that a stroller is a form of constraint and a leash is a form of a restraint both serve the purpose of keeping a child safe? Mind.Blown.

Congrats on bragging about a really dumb choice. IMO that's nothing to be proud of. ETA - I shouldn't be so quick to speak. Unless your nephew over 4'9" and over 80-100 pounds he is much safer in a booster seat.

Taking their afternoon rest.

Enlighten us with your discipline techniques in that case.
-
Tells us more about this discipline I keep hearing about. I would love to hear your recommendations.
-
Then you must have failed to read my other posts because I clearly stated that a good parent meets the needs of the child. That may mean a stroller, a babycarrier, a cart, or a leash.
-
Woah, nobody said adoptive parents are not parents - those are your words.
-
And I am pointing out that while you may have the experience of being around young children, it is not the same as having your own.
-
I am an avid babywearer and own 8 different carriers. I just wore my 2 year old the other day and put my 4.5 year old in the Ergo to demonstrate how to use it. Pregnant with 15 month old twins means that babywearing isn't an option. Again, when you respect your child's needs, to walk or ride, you are doing what is right.…

Working at a daycare, being a nanny, being an early childhood teacher, having younger siblings, or having multiple nieces and nephews is not and never will be the same thing as being a parent.
-
Tell me all about your children. I would love to hear your discipline technique.

I am so happy you have parented every child out there. Congrats on being the Best Parent Ever! My twins wore a leash a handful of time when they were around 15 months and I was by myself. What fun is the zoo when you're strapped in a stroller? Not to mention they preferred the leash to the stroller. IMO good parenting is…

This. I eat meat, but not nearly enough to get me all the protein I need.

Just today I spent $120 at the grocery store and another $15 at the Farmer's Market. We are a family of 5 and all meals are prepared at home from scratch (save for pasta). I shop weekly and try to buy the produce on sale.
