I don't cook and have no desire to. I have tried in the past, but I just end up wasting a ton of time, money and sanity on food that is inedible. I eat a lot of freezer meals (lean cuisine, mostly) and have fast food a couple of times a week. I just make it work. I like Panda Express because the teriyaki chicken is 300…

LOL. Good point. When I was 410 I could barely get out of bed and was constantly injuring my shoulders, but I can get out of bed without any problem these days.

I just found out about the mudder in Payson, AZ (it's a 5k). This year it was at the beginning of June, so I assume it will be around the same time next year, which would give me about 10 months to prepare. There is no way I could even attempt it now, not sure I can be ready in 10 months. I'm currently 309 lbs with no…

For both, actually.

I use hand sanitizer if I've been touching things and I use the wipes provided at the grocery store to clean the cart handle.

I just wait it out. I tried diuretics, but then I'd just rebound a couple days later.

I generally eat 1/2 or more, depending on how I feel. If I feel particularly tired or run down I eat most of them back.

Not sure how people are getting away with one sports bra... Do you wash it every day? I have two and would like at least two more. I don't have time to wash every other day and I've been stuck wearing regular bras to the gym sometimes.

Lol. It came from Amazon like this.

Thanks. I must have looked at the index wrong, I thought it said the bodyweight program was lower body only. I've been looking into getting dumbbells and a bench. Maybe I can start with the bodyweight program and add the other stuff a little at a time.

Costco sells precooked grilled chicken breast strips. 100 grams is 130 calories and 28 grams of protein. https://m.costcobusinessdelivery.com/Kirkland-Signature-Grilled-Chicken-Breast-Strips%2C-2-lbs.product.11284300.html

Good job. I started with 260 to lose (not a typo) and now have 160 to go. It seems so far away, but it gets closer every day.

Only at a pot luck.... Oh, sorry covered-in-dog-hair-lady, no spinach dip for me, I'm on a diet.

Mix powdered peanut butter into some Greek yogurt and eat it with apple slices. Or, sometimes I just mix the pb powder with some almond milk if I want more pb flavor, 36g pb powder and about 2 oz almond milk.

Wow. How did I not know about this? Going to pick some up on the way home from Zumba tonight.

I was looking at the book on Amazon. Is this program good for reducing muscle loss during weight loss?
-
Yes, should be fine, but I don't know the cost time. I've also cooked them in a rice cooker. I recommend looking into the soup cup, though. It's really handy.

The ratio for lentils is 3 cups liquid to 1 cup lentils. So, for a single portion, maybe try 1 cup liquid to a 1/3 cup lentils. I'd do them in a Sistema soup cup in the microwave. If it's too much or not enough you can adjust the next time.

I weigh every day on a Nokia scale and am using trendweight to track. I tend to have a lot of water weight swings, so this helps me focus on the trend and not the number on the scale. When I weighed once a week, if I was on the wrong side of the swing for a few weeks it was really discouraging and made it hard to tell what…

I quit in 2009. I used Swedish snus until I got used to not smoking, then quit the snus. Quitting the nicotine was pretty easy once I quit the smoking habit. I did have a doctor tell me that losing weight was more important than quitting smoking, but I wasn't doing either particularly well at the time. I finally decided to…

I'd suggest skipping the psychiatrist and try a psychologist first. Psychiatrists just manage drugs doses and don't really help with resolving emotional issues. In my experience, at least.

SAMe and a good B complex has done more for my depression that any prescription or therapy ever did. Started it last month and have felt great since.

I was just reading this study, you should check it out. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3154522/ Study confirms water weight gain during both menstruation and ovulation. It's something I really struggle with. I feel like there are only two brief windows a month where I can see my weight loss.

I never cook. I haven't even tried cooking in probably 2 - 3 years (unless you count the high protein cheesecake...). I mainly eat lean cuisines and I've lost 90 pounds. That said, you can certainly make takeout work. You just have to be mindful of your calories and portions. You'll hear a lot of different perspectives.…

You might try supplementing your protein shake with some brown rice protein. It's fairly cheap. You can add about 13 grams of protein for a little less than 60 calories. It is a bit grainy, though. https://www.amazon.com/Organic-Certified-Available-Spectrum-Ultra-fine/dp/B01JSORWCC

If you can deal with the texture, pea protein powder is probably the cheapest. It's about $0.43/serving.
