I wouldn't buy those yet. Get checked by your doctor first. Then go check out a local running store. Vibrams are great shoes if you already have good form.

Including my pre workout stuff (I workout first thing): 1/2c Oatmeal (plain) + 1/2c w/berries Protein Shake (3 scoops + 2c skim) 4 Egg Whites + 1 Whole Egg Scrambled 8oz Simply Orange Misc. Fruit That's my typical breakfast. I sometimes toss in some chicken.

Stop running. Try using an eliptical instead until you get this figured out. ^ This is what you need to do. ..and see a doctor for that "bulge" you mentioned. ^Very true. Not like they taught you in gym class. Or at least me.

If by threathened you mean scared of the noxious gases that many vegans & vegetarians emit as a result of their limited diet lifestyles, then yes. I'm far from a meat head. Just not worth wasting time reading an article that is guarateed to be slanted to one side or the other. And yes, that goes for carnivore sites too.
-
I didn't open the link, but I'm guessing it's flawed already. Vegan/Vegetarian sites seldom tell the whole story.

I ALWAYS prefer free weights over machines. You get a natural, wider range of motion using free weights. You just have to pay attention to your form when lifting. Don't be afraid to look into things like dumbbell squats, romanian deadlifts, barbell bench presses, etc.. They aren't just for guys. Check out youtube.…

^ I agree. You didn't mention it, but if you're not doing any strength training you need to. Don't be afraid that you'll turn into an amazon. Strength training will help you reach your goals quicker and keep your physique looking great. Just my $0.02.

Until they figure out what really causes cancer, I take all that with a grain of salt (there are exception; e.g. radiation exposure). Did you ask your doctor if he/she drinks coffee? Decaf is pointless IMO. If you're going to drink coffee, leaded is the way to go.

^ There's your answer. You have to keep pushing yourself or you won't get any further. Review your exercise plan and take a good look at your meals. It's time to do more! And you should feel great about the weight you've lost so far. 30lbs is nothing to laugh at.

For the treadmill, I'd suggest using CardioTrainer. It will calculate the calories for you. You can then put them into MFP.

Try Champion C9. My wife uses their workout pants. So far they've stayed on. Target has good prices on them. I use Champion as well. Not much jumping going on here though. I love UnderArmor but the price tag is insane.

The sickness is most likey NOT an allergy. You may be more sensitive to chocolates/sweets now than previous. Or it's an ingredient in the chocolates. Food allergies tend to cause other symptoms (swelling, itching, etc.). Food sensitivities tend to make you sick. You can develop allergies at any time. My aunt is allergic to…

If you're eating 1220 calories and working out, you're not eating enough. You should at least be eating your exercise calories. Also, three weeks is just the start. As my former Tae Kwon Do instructor used to say, PATIENCE & PERSEVERANCE. Then again I think we're all guessing. You need to provide more details.

ONCE a week tops!

Guess I never was much into religion. Either way, doesn't sound like it was a tough thing to give up.
-
I can't imagine that at all.

Don't be afraid to change things up. But be sure to give it time to work. Yeah it's rough. Especially if you aren't single. Running by itself is good, but it doesn't burn as many calories as you would think. I run because I enjoy being outside. Being indoors all the time working out lacks scenery.

In my field we call those "random number generators". Looks interesting, but honestly a personal trainer could tell you the same thing in one day. All you do is tell them your occupation, take a few measurements, etc.. Good luck and don't get depressed over that. You have to set realistic goals.

14lbs in 5 weeks is great! Keep eating right, keep up the 3 days of working out, and you'll do great. Heck I couldn't imagine working with cake all day! I wouldn't last a minute!

Maybe I'm being a little harsh here, but if you give up now you weren't committed to this in the first place. You didn't gain the unwanted weight overnight. You won't lose it overnight either. You have to commit to this! Of all the BAD things to give up, the scale is what you chose? Hmm. This is probably what the OP was…

Pretty much spot on. The kind of "cardio" and intensity will have more of an affect than how often. Running/Elliptical, for example, is not intense cardio (I love running; I know I'll catch flack for this). Try something like squat thrusts + mountain climbers + squat jumps. You'll be amazed at how much more you feel these.…

Congrats! Set realisitic, acheivable goals and you won't fail. Try it. You'll be surprised at what you can do when you put your mind to it.

If you want to get picky on the details, it's been around a lot longer than that. My point is that it's recently received a bit of attention. Hence the number of threads here and elsewhere recently.

http://www.jefit.com/exercises/exercise-database/?id=300 It's an old school exercise. As a guy, there's no way I'm getting on another sweaty dude's back. Maybe it's just me.... Here's a few others (no weights needed): http://www.jefit.com/exercises/exercise-database/?id=289…

I love coffee. My morning brew is black with a 1/2tsp of real, honest, genuine sugar. My "splurge" is a Double Tall Skinny Carmel Latte from the giant coffee chain. I drink roughly 3 cups a day during the week and almost none on the weekends. Sugar free anything isn't great for you. Just my opinion there. I do eat/drink…

Short answer: sometimes. They aren't accurate for people with muscular builds. The best way is to get measured at your gym. They use other methods (calipers, displacement, etc). Not sure, but I would think your doctor could do that as well.

Decided I was going to run the Warrior Dash in June. Bought my ticket and got rolling. I've never been more than a bit overweight myself. Most of my younger years I was the skinny awkward kid who wasn't good at sports. Got picked on a bit and couldn't do much about it. Self esteem was always low. I did it for me. Not to…

Do what makes you happy. Friends will come & go. You're body will be there a while... On the dinner comment, why don't you eat? Not eating isn't going to help a healthly lifestyle. Unless you're going for the Mary Kate & Ashley/Crackwhore look. Eat regular, quality meals. I have to bug my wife about that all the…
