No way to go but down with a thread like this. ;)

NO! BAN ALL FOOD WE SHOULDN'T EAT! WE CAN'T MAKE DECISIONS OURSELVES! We are all capable of making choices. Some just suck at it more than others. :)

'06 Nissan Maxima SE Had to move into the "family" sedan market. Miss my previous cars. Don't miss the lack of space though I will say that. Time for that LS-turbo swap? I had a few civics. '98 EX w/NOOOSS (55 shot dry kit ;)), '00 Si mostly suspension & drivetrain, '90 hatch I bought just to rebuild stock and sell.

I use JEFIT rather than MFP. MFP's exercise tracking isn't nearly as good as their food tracking. http://www.jefit.com

^This. It's subjective.

Give it a year or so. There will be study out confirming that egg yolks are the best thing to eat. Seems to be the way it goes anyhow. ;) Average age of first visit: 62. Average BMI: 27%. Average BP: 140/83 These folks weren't exactly healthy to start with. As for me, I'll keep eating my yolks and exercising.

If it's not something you enjoy, you'll end up quitting again. Find something you like instead. Maybe cycling or hiking. Otherwise, I suggest you sign up for a 5k race before you start again. At least you'll have an end goal already set up.

Good is pretty subjective. The cheapo stuff (e.g. Body Fortress) taste like cheap protein. Yeah, you can stomach it. But there's much better ones out there. Optimum Nutrition is on the lower end of the price range (for name brands) and tastes great.

Do a search. There's tons of threads on this.
-
Of course he recommends that. It's his brand. LOL

LOVE cooking with those. I have to smack my hand to keep from eating them when I open the bag. And yes, they include saturated fats as well.

No one said to EAT 100% fat. They stated coconut oil is 100% fat. You need fats. Period. How you get them is less of a concern. So I repeat, fats are needed. *sigh*

Coconut oil is great to cook with or add to foods. It does add a nice little taste (hard to describe) to otherwise bland foods. In fact, before the health gestapo stepped in, they used to make movie theater popcorn with it. If you've ever popped corn at home, you know the oil makes a difference. A bonus of coconut oil is…

As long as you're progressing, it's decent. Don't worry about what the guy/gal next to you is lifting.

You'll be fine. Nothing's broken or bleeding right? Push through and you'll be happy you did. As was said above, your routine could be the issue too.

Gaspari Myofusion is very good. Roughly $30-35 for 2lbs. It's a blend of proteins which is nice. Optimum Nutrition is also very good. Same price range. Taste is very specific to everyone. Both of the above make quality, tasty protein powders.

It depends on what you're eating too. Here's a lunch I do on a regular basis: McDonald's Southwest Chicken Salad Grilled with Dressing Extra Grilled Chicken Breast Calories: 480 Fat: 16g Carbs: 40g Protein: 48g Not bad eh? Granted the sodium in fast food is high, but that's not an issue for me. Lots of vitamin A, C,…

Weights. Bands have their place too though. I use them as well. Check Craigslist for dumbbells. There's always some on there. Another option is dumbbell handles with plates. Easy to adjust and the plates can be used for barbell work later.
-
^This. To quote that article, "it is not death on a plate".

Agreed.

I find meth helpful... ;) Could be a myriad of things. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=kFhwnGjBwh8

^ One of the greats right there. If anyone uses JEFIT to track their lifting, I created a routine a while back for PHAT: http://jefit.com/routines/workout-routine-database.php?id=5068 To keep it simple, hypertrophy training focuses on growing the muscles. Typically more sets/higher reps ranges. Power/strength focuses on…

Sure why not. I'd walk around nekked all the time if I didn't live in an area where it gets so cold out. SHRINKAGE! :p

Boxer briefs for myself. None for her. But if she insists, thongs. :)
-
Multivitamin (NatureMade), fish oil (NatureMade), whey (usually Optimum Nutrition, but whatever I happen to try), Scivation Xtend during my workouts, and Scivation Novem preworkout.
-
I'm up at 4am to workout. So its more that I can't eat before hand. ;) I also drink one afterwards as well (usually mixed with lowfat yogurt).
-
Same here. I drink a whey shake before hand, but no real food.

Everyday isn't going to be a stellar day in the gym. It happens. Could be a number of things. Diet, mental, sleep, etc..
-
I'm always positive. (see even that was positive) On another note, I just hit 240x20 on squats. Puts me around the 400lb 1RM mark. Can't be upset with that. :)

It's not a macronutrient. Like chrisdavey said, don't weigh in every day. I weigh in monthly (with measurements). For most, weekly is more than enough.
