That is a great idea. I found that being "out" with my weight, and letting everybody know what I currently weighed, really has helped me in my loss. In the past, when I would privately keep the number to myself, it was easy to backslide--since nobody else would know. I love the various badass photos to go along with the…

Thanks, Will. The Biggest Loser challenges have helped me a lot. I love the friendly competition!

Heh, I did internalize some Dolvett Quince sayings. Helped me get over a lot of hills. I'd hear him in my head yelling "Hard work! Dedication!" like on the show.

Thanks, Lisa! That Biggest Loser challenge has been a very motivating aspect of my last year. Kept me on track many a time I felt like cheating. "But I WANT TO WIN this BL season!" I'd think. And thanks to you specifically for your support and your manifest duathlon/triathlon successes. If you can do tris, I can too! FTW

Thanks for your continued support, and well wishes.

Insurmountable odds: Surmounted I hit my 100% goal and beyond. Current weight: 168.5 lbs, total loss 250.5 lbs. Healthy BMI. Thanks to all my MFP friends for their encouragement, examples and support. Now to start training for that Ironman! Frank

Most of the exercise I've done in the past year has been walking. Seems to have had an effect on me.

My moobs are FINALLY starting to get a bit smaller--after a 245+ pound loss. You can't pick where the fat comes off, unfortunately.
-
Go for it. It's entirely possible for you to reach that goal!

Dude, I was in your shoes last year. I weighed 419 pounds. I couldn't walk a block without sweating like a pig and getting out of breath. I was going to die soon from some obesity-related hazard. I decided to change. You've already done the first best thing--you have signed with a community of like-minded people who can…

I'm not dead! I don't want to go on the cart!

Same here. Garmin runs not showing up as exercise in MFP, calories burned not included either. Since at least last night Jul 28

Good for you. I understand the power of the goal number. I picked 175 as a goal when I started but when I finally hit it I realized I was still overweight at that number. But it sure feels good to hit the number you've dreamed about. I know those feels

I've got some pics in my profile. On mobile so can't add here

Great pace! Sincere congrats

I have some loose skin. The extra energy and mobility I have gained far outweigh any cosmetic issues.

Shadowjack196's right. Psychotic... but absolutely right. We gotta take these *kitten*. Now we could do it with conventional weapons, but that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on…

Well I'm one, but you knew that! Surprised there aren't more of us here. MFP is a great way to log intake. Frank

I totally relate to the "oh yeah, those are my feet!" revelation. Congrats!

I'm down a bit as well

I've recently gone a bit G-Shock crazy--bought a Rangeman when it came out over Christmas. I have the GW3000 from a while ago--I consider it my "dress" watch because of the analog dial. I also have a Casio Pathfinder ABC watch (PAW1300) which I like because of the large display. And for exercise and hiking, I stupidly…

You look great. I also like your taste in watches. Is that a G-Shock aviator GW3000?

Once a week, Sunday morning, same time, same scale, same clothes.

Hi Rebecca: You're in the right place. The tools and support you can find here on MFP can only help you on your quest. They've been very helpful to me. I've sent you a friend request (fellow Canadian here). Frank
-
Sincere congratulations on hitting such an epic milestone! I know how much hard work and dedication went into your success. Feel proud!
-
I've done 10,000 daily steps minimum for about a year. It has helped me lose some weight.
-
Tom, you're doing amazingly well. Congratulations on your 50%-to-goal milestone. I know you can finish the 2nd half as well! Frank

Weigh and measure your food to ensure proper portion sizes, hit your macros, and add some daily walking. Working for me. Frank

I started with the fitbit One last year. Fitbit One Pros: * Great battery life * Nice display on unit * Counts flights of stairs climbed (altimeter) * Step count / calorie adjustment links to MFP Cons: * Need to wear on included fabric wristband to track sleep--inconvenient * Clip on format made me sometimes forget to…
