It's a very smart thing to do. I wish I would've lost weight before I got pregnant with my son. I ended up getting preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome. My doctor says that both of these conditions, in my case, were probably weight related.

I'm surprised no one responded to this. Your BMI is pretty low. It's only 16.4. I'd suggest eating more to gain some weight. I use full sugar and fat creamer in one cup of coffee daily. I try to drink just one cup of strong coffee, but if I must have more, I'll drink them black.

Your profile says you are 20 years old. I would up your calories to 1500. Maybe you should also go to the doctor and have some blood work done.

I stay full longer if I eat foods that have lots of fiber - vegetables, fruit, whole grains, and beans - and drink lots of water.

I disagree! Eating a bag of candy everyday would be bad. Eating a small piece or two is a smart way to make cravings manageable.

I'm the mother of a toddler, and I really try not to take any BLTs. I know they can really add up! If I get peanut butter or mayo on my hands, I'll wash them. I'll have family members add extra salt or pepper to their own plates of food if they need it so I don't have to take multiple bites (or slurps).

Are you sure you're not retaining water from eating too much sodium (or from some other reason)? Are you constipated? Did you increase your workout routine? Sometimes muscles can temporarily retain water.

I find that when I eat low carb I eat fewer processed foods and eat more vegetables. Eating low carb can be very healthy. While it's still about calories, many find that eating low carb is an easy and satiating way to reduce calories and lose weight.

There are some people who have medical issues or are on meds that mess with their ability to lose weight... However, I think most people don't lose because they are underestimating the number of calories they consume. It's easy to do!

Have you talked to your doctor about your plateau? If so, did he or she check your thyroid. Most people that aren't losing underestimate the calories they are eating, but maybe your thyroid is not working properly. I see a big difference in your pictures by the way. Great work! :)
