  • I believe the turkey version has just as much sodium in it. Its the reason why I won't use it. Take some plain ground turkey and sautee it with your own no-salt added, no sodium spices.
  • you know what, she may be young and a lot of young obese people use their age to defend themselves....obviously, if she continues to be obese, it WILL catch up with her. There is just no doubt about this. It will cause her joints to swell and have arthritis, ALL CAUSED BY HER OBESITY. Of course, she won't blame it on her…
  • C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S ! ! ! ! !
  • Simple: Consume high quality calories and get some moderate exercise (a brisk walk) 4-6 times a week for 30-45 mins each time. No need to kill yourself at the gym if you consume high quality foods.
  • You def need your sleep in order to operate your body, even need sleep in order to help your body to lose weight. I would incorporate exercise in sneaky ways on those weeks-like parking far, taking stairs, running up and down stairs at break times or lunch time. Take a walk at lunch time to de-stress, etc.
  • Find a teen seater or give them to hubby in the evening and make time for yourself. You are worth it.
  • if you are type 2 diabetic, you need to be more concerned about carbs. I have followed a program that kept my blood sugar level all day long----this prevents spikes and crashes, which is what makes us crave junk and feel hungry. Not too long after I started, i no longer had the threat of diabetes and, of course, I still…
  • Waste of time and money---you need to do it right and learn along your journey. You know as well as I know, that as soon as you stop those pills, you are going to go right back to your old habits.
  • awesome-thanks for sharing!
  • I believe all your calories should be of high quality. Even you eat it and work it off, its not considered high quality calories. :(
  • find something to do to keep your mind off it. you must fight this urge today and every day in order to break the habit.
  • There really is no need to get full. All you need to do is fuel the body and keep it from feeling starving. You want to consume only healthy calories, little carbs (carbs are what causes cravings and makes blood sugar spike and drop, which is what makes us hungry again). This was pivotal for me----I always thought I had to…
  • Definitely working on what goes in my mouth is how I lost my fat. Exericse was secondary. Its all about 80% of what goes in your mouth and 20% exercise.
  • Obviously, whats done is done. but you need to sit back and think about what you were thinking during those moments. Why did you reach for those foods? Try to learn from it and change that behavior. Once you figure out the whys, then next time you learn and come up with another action instead of reaching for food.
  • I've read that this is not what people think. Yes, it does burn calories, but it is very momentary, certainly not an excuse to eat more.
  • No cheat days here----
  • I just steer clear from anything Italian or Pizza related--way too many carbs for me. But it is nice to hear that there may be a pizza under 500 calories for those who don't count carbs that can be wonderful news.
  • I go to the gym because they have things I don't have at home. Sure, going to the gym is not necessary at all. I lost my first 100 pounds without ever stepping foot in the gym. I did only Workout DVDs. But now I have learned that my insurance company pays for the gym, so I only have to go 8 times a month. Seeing as how you…
  • That used to be me. NOT ANY MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been doing this for a little over a year now and this is my new way of life. Welcome and good luck!
  • Don't even allow that stuff to come in the house. Sure, my kids like junk, but if it is food that I know I will reach for when I am feeling weak, I won't buy it. I buy things for them that I don't like. They are still alive and happy :) LOL!
  • Stick with veggie dishes and baked fish!!!! Otherwise, I would completely avoid the pasta. Way too many carbs.
  • C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S ! ! ! !
  • This is where you want to watch your carbs as well, carbs convert to sugars. Stick with lots of fresh veggies and lean protein.
  • Aspoonabove, Well said. I am a health coach too, the Take Shape For Life Program and the free health coach is the KEY to this program working and helping people to transition and maintain. This program has changed my life forever. I used the program since day 1 and have lost 107 pounds. I just wish I found this program a…
  • YES! These are approved :) Do you have a health coach?
  • Wow thats a lot of calorie burn for a day? Is that recorded per a HRM??? Why don't you cut back on the exercise some. Still exercise every day, but 1200 calorie burn a day is not necessary. You need to do something that you can stick with every day, like walking briskly, or a bike ride.....hope that makes sense. You may be…
  • They are just not used to seeing me thin now. I hear it all the time from family members.
  • to be honest, I could care less how much of my weight was water weight - LOL. I was just thrilled to see the scale move and still moving. It still was weight, and I still had to carry it around, and it still kept me from wearing cute clothes.
  • Boy I know what you mean---my problem is that everything I try on fits and I love it so much that I wanna buy it :) Congrats to you !!!
