  • And you are doing an excellent job Laura!!!
  • Good luck....I promise you, just follow it as it is written in the QuickStart guide, and you will do just fine :)
  • There are actually some health coaches out there (and this pains me to say this, but it is true), who will guide their clients in a way that is outside of what is written in the program. :(
  • I am a TSFL Coach, and you are doing it just fine. Not sure why your friend said you are doing it wrong. But spinach/lettuce/romaine are 1 cup equals 1 veggie serving. so 2 cups would be 2 veggie servings, and the 1/2 cup of mushrooms is your third veggie serving. Its great that she lost all her weight and all, but I did,…
  • Have you tried some Melatonin? its all natural. It may be just what you need. Or perhaps some Sleepytime tea?
  • You can add 1 wedge of laughing cow lite cheese (2 wedges of the lite l/c cheese is 1 fat). Or 1 tablespoon of salsa. But whatever you do, make sure you let it soak before you cook it.
  • Hi Debbi---welcome to the Medifast Party :) I think your idea of WW for maintenance is great. Its a great plan when you know that even when you reach goal, you still have to work at it. That was always my problem in the past, I was on a "diet" which always has a beginning and an end. But MF is forever :)
  • I add some of my greens in it.....a handful of shredded cabbage (coleslaw style). Very nummy that way, with garlic powder of course as well.
  • You can do this with Tomato soup, any cream of.......... soup. ALso, with the tomato soup you can make "bread" with it, and put some laughing cow cheese in it for a "grilled cheese" sandwich, or you can use it bread for your turkey burgers instead of revolution rolls.
  • ThaREalNicki, that is key, if you never ate it before, then don't expect to like it in Medifast form - LOL. You are doing great!! Keep recording your food on MFP and make sure your carbs come in under 100 and your calories are between 800-1000 and you will continue to do well.

  • Welcome to our party Ladies :) You are going to love the program. It is the only one that ever worked for me where I was able to consistently lose weight every week for 10 months. We are here for you if you have ANY questions.
  • Hey Sarah-welcome to the Medifast World! So glad you are here. I am definitely here for you. How long have you been on plan?
  • The plan is designed to promote weight loss no matter what 5 meals you choose each day. There is no magic in sticking to any particular food thinking it will increase weight loss. The shakes are only 10 calories less, but the rest of the nutrients are quite equivalent to the others. To answer your question, the breakfast…

  • Its funny to read your stories about the oatmeal. I have had clients feel the same way, and then later come to LOVE the oatmeal. Not saying that will happen to you all, but you just never know. To help you use up your oatmeal, you could consider making it into a cake/muffin/scone type of item by pouring it into a ceramic…
  • You will love the program. Just be sure to follow the program and don't "do it your way" and you will have amazing results. Welcome to the MF party!!!
  • Welcome to MF. Be sure to log all your meals, bites, licks, and tastes. It is crucial that you follow the program as outlined in the Quickstart guide, this is how your body gets into that fat burning state and burns the fat and does just think its on another low calorie diet. If you consume more than 100 carbs a day, you…
  • Be sure that you are following the plan, 5 mf meals, 1 measured L&G meal, optional snack and 3 condiments and required fat. No extras. Remember, when you alter the plan, you alter the results. If you are eating more than what is on plan, you could very well be allowing your body to come out of fat burning, and that will…
  • I cook on low for 6-8 hours. Yes, tomatoes are on plan, you can refer to your QuickStart guide, they are a higher carb containing approved veggie 1/2 cup equals one veggie serving -YAY! Tonight, I have a boneless, skinless turkey breast (honeysuckle, purchased frozen from the frozen meat dept) that I will rinse, and roast…
  • A lot of my clients will spend one afternoon a week prepping food for the week. So they will grill a bunch of chicken, roast a turkey and slice it, so that it is handy dandy for the busy week. Tonight I put 4 frozen chicken breasts in my crockpot with a can of tomatoes, some garlic, and some Italian seasoning. Will have a…
  • I have many clients who are diabetics and are polar opposites as well. By consuming a low carb (under 100 grams a day, which still puts you in a mild state of ketosis) and consuming high protein ---very lean protein that is----and keeping fats under 30 grams a day, they see dramatic improvements in blood sugars within one…
  • That massive headache is completely normal in your first week on program. The recommendation is to use some POWERADE ZERO for this, or have a few dill pickle spears (optional snack) or 1 cup of broth (condiment).
  • First of all, keep in mind, that when you alter the program, you alter the results. That being said, it is not unusual to have a hungry day here or there, in fact, hungry days were signs that my scale was about to move actually. You can split your L&G and eat half of it earlier in the day. You can plan to have Egg Beaters…
  • Jess, trying making the cookies and brownies in advance and store in a baggy. I've done that many times. You can make a shake cake as well and take that with you, as well as an oatmeal cake. :)
  • Sounds like you need to change some of these habits so that you can focus on health in order to lose the weight and live a healthy lifestyle. All that pre cooked stuff is just not a good idea. Its okay in a pinch here or there like picking up a a rotissirie chicken or using canned chicken, but really, its best to just prep…
  • Hmm....in the meatless options guide it shows you can have 3 whole eggs as equaling one full lean. But you only want to do this once a week. otherwise, you can have 14 egg whites, or 2 cups of Egg Beaters. Once a week suggestion is due to cholesterol.
  • I am positive you are going to love it :) Let me know if you have any issues or problems.
  • I always ate my L&G at supper time, 5:30 p.m. and it never affected my weight loss.
  • NOPE!!!!!!!!! The only thing that counts as water, in my book, is water, pure water. everything else is a bonus. Sorry, I know you did not want to hear that. So I drink my gallon of water, my 3 cups of coffee, my 2 cups of decaf tea, and I love it!!!!!!
  • Those darn carbs play such a vital role in blood sugars. I know the plan I followed cut back my carbs to 85-100 grams a day, and I am now no longer a pre diabetic!!!!!!!!!! I am now more aware of carbs and what role they play in my nutrition. Keep up the great work.
  • I would pass. Sugar free does not mean calorie free or carb free. :) Just saying...........
