Egg beaters vs. real eggs?

Hello again -

I've seen in the MF literature that the egg substitute is what's recommended as a lean option - not real, whole eggs.

Does anyone know why that is, exactly? Is it calories? Cholesterol? Something else?

What's the detriment, if I were to just use real eggs instead...would it throw me out of ketosis or something, and why?

Hmm....in the meatless options guide it shows you can have 3 whole eggs as equaling one full lean. But you only want to do this once a week. otherwise, you can have 14 egg whites, or 2 cups of Egg Beaters. Once a week suggestion is due to cholesterol.

Ooh, three eggs = one lean. I think I just found one of my go-to meals. Add spinach and mushrooms, and I should be a happy camper. :-)

    Thank you!

You can also have 2 whole eggs plus 4 egg whites as a leaner option (add 1 fat) that's my favorite option for eggs.
