  • Yep. I do every few weeks or so. I have so many recipes that I use it for as a substitute, I stick with keeping it plain. Sometimes I'll keep some pureed berries on hand to add as a flavoring, but I'm a big fan of a spoonful of honey. I make a gallon of milk's worth at a time since I go through it so fast. Takes forever to…
  • I'm almost on my last month of Body Revolution (2nd round and doing it in conjunction with T25), and I'm doing a Turbo Fire/ChaLEAN Extreme/Brazil Butt Lift hybrid next. I would look into ChaLEAN. You need dumbbells, but the ones you used for BR would work, especially for the first round. It's 30 minutes with lots of…
  • T25's Speed 2.0 this morning and Body Revolution's Workout 8 tonight. Today was a nice, cool, rainy day. Perfect sleep in weather. So it was kind of hard to drag myself out of bed and begin my workout, but I did! Now to make myself start working instead of watching cute cat videos on youtube . . .
  • There's a modifier who does low impact versions. She does a lot of modification that I don't always follow, but for the jumping, I look to her. I'm almost to Gamma and I haven't jumped once. But I've still gotten a great workout. I know that she doesn't do the modifications in Speed 3.0, but I think enough of the moves are…
  • Chef John just did a new leek video! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UyNmmWy9OL0 Sounds delicious!
  • At the end of every week, if I've met all my exercise goals, I do a at-home spa day. I turn on some relaxing music on Pandora, epilate and wax, take a hot salt and milk bath, do a deep conditioning treatment on my hair, and a mud mask on my face and body, trim my hair if needed, and give myself a mani/pedi. I feel like a…
  • The one I make the most often with turmeric is this: http://www.cookingchanneltv.com/recipes/bal-arneson/butter-chicken.html But I've also had it in soups, marinades, and with veggies. Yum! I actually make my own supplements by filling some gelatin capsules with turmeric and taking them with my multivitamin. It's helped me…
  • Are you into any food blogs yet? Poor Girl Eats Well, Budget Bytes, and BrokeAssGormet are a few really great sites that are both health and price conscious. I've gotten so many ideas from that. I just got the book Ten Dollar Dinners too. What a great purchase that was. Not only great meals (a lot of them French inspired,…
  • If you're doing the weight loss thing with MFP then yes. Keep eating until you reach your goal. You should be "netting" your goal by eating your exercise calories back. I got tired, cold, cranky, have bad reactions like hair shedding and dry skin, and couldn't put as much energy into my workouts as I would like when I…
  • It's different for everyone. Are you eating your exercise calories back? I'm the same height and was at 170 when I started. I lost weight when I was netting 1200, but I found it a little limiting socially and hard to maintain. I also plateaued after a while despite exercise. And I have 0 kids. Personally, I would up your…
  • Probably the ones that I had the most fun with were Turbo Fire and Zuzka Light. I've been doing the ZWOW workouts (I think she has over 70 of them now. I'll usually blast some of my favorite music on my iPod while I do one of those. I'm not sure if "fun" is the right word though. It's so fast paced and there are so many…
  • Turbo Fire's Fire 30 and Body Revolution's Workout 7. I forgot how intense Turbo Fire was after not doing it for a while!
  • I love home exercise programs and I've done quite a few. I like to get them done quick too. Since you're a beginner, I would look at something like Jillian Michael's Body Revolution or ChaLEAN Extreme. There are modifications in ChaLEAN that keep the intensity up but are great if you just starting out or have a bad knee…
  • Aww! That made me smile. It's amazing how just a little encouragement can really make such a difference. I'm not that girl, but I say good for her for being positive and good for you for pushing yourself to you best mile! :flowerforyou:
  • Third. One of my favorite food blogs.
  • I'll be starting Gamma in a few days (I've been combing T25 with Body Revolution) and I'm also gearing up for ChaLEAN next. I didn't' make it to the lean phase the last time I did it (my T25 came and I got too excited), but from what I did do, it's a great program. I didn't follow the meals (I never do), but I definitely…
  • Full blown spa day! Not as great as it sounds because it's also hair removal day. Which means the epilator gets brought out! Definitely makes me look forward to workout days! But I also take a really long bath, do my skin and hair treatments, paint my fingers and toes, and trim my hair if it needs it. I'm a bit of a…
  • Strength workouts? Or more cardio? Definitely check out youtube. Zuzka Light just posted a beginner leg and ab workout today, but it does have squats. Not sure if you want to avoid those. I have a bad knee (riding injury) and something that I've found helpful is to learn all the modifications and things I should avoid and…
  • ^ Agree! Make them at home! It's fun too. I just cooked with bitter melon for the first time the other day. I usually follow Bal Arneson's recipes because they usually come with videos (I'm a visual learner) and I've always found them to be very healthy. There are so many blogs and recipes out there, it's easy to find…
  • I do both! I don't have kids or pets, so it's pretty easy for me. It's also an excuse to take a shower in the morning and at night. I do that anyways (mornings aren't complete without a shower and I have a messy job that I need to clean up from in the evenings), but I like to get a workout before to make it that much more…
  • Hi back! I'm following this plan: http://soreyfitness.com/fitness/chalean-extreme-turbofire-brazil-butt-lift-hybrid-schedule/ It's definitely the most intense routine I've ever tried, but I think I'm ready for it. It is pretty lower body heavy, so I'm not sure how sore I'll be (yikes!), so that'll be fun! There is…
  • I'm 5'2" inches and my goal right now is 125 lbs. I may want to go lower or higher, but I'll know better about what my goals should be the closer I get. My goal right now is to fit back into my size 4 jeans, but I wouldn't complain if I fit into a size 2! I still think that even then I'm going to be in the higher end of my…
  • I was supposed to do the Body Revolution Cardio today, but I hate all the cardios from that program. So I did a workout from Zuzka Light on youtube. She has a series called ZWOW which is all about fat burning cardio. I think she's up to the 60's as far as how many she's uploaded now! So I've decided to substitute the…
  • I've done it before and I absolutely LOVE High & Tight and Tummy Tuck. Although Bum Bum and Cardio Axe were definitely not at the intensity I was used to after doing Turbo Fire and Body Revolution. Sculpt was pretty basic. No real good or bad opinion on it. Don't know if you've done that one yet. But High & Tight in…
  • Yep! T25 Dynamic Core and Body Revolution's Workout 7. Oh, and an extended stretch at the end of it all. I need after those workouts or I wouldn't be able to walk tomorrow.
  • I am currently losing, I log daily, and I weigh and measure weekly..

  • I use Almond Breeze because there's usually a sale or coupon where we shop. My husband and I go through about 4 cartons a week, so price is definitely my main priority! But I have tried the Silk and enjoyed the taste and texture more than others I've tried.
  • This is the recipe I use (or some kind of variation of it) for kale salad: http://foodwishes.blogspot.com/search?q=kale++salad and I also use them in my morning smoothies with a few pieces of banana, berries, almond milk, and protein powder.

  • T25 and Body Revolution. It was a rough AM workout (went to a friends house last night) but I powered through it and felt so much better afterwards. Glad I did it!
