  • Believe me, you are not the first to struggle and you certainly won't be the last. When I first started working out (and I was also formerly fit from high school sports), I was falling all over the place, making the most pansy punches, and had to take WAY too many breaks for my liking. I started with Body Revolution, which…
  • Sometimes you lose them, sometimes you don't. I haven't, but I also had big ones when I was thinner too. Plus I come from a family where the women are bigger in that area. There's nothing you can really do to keep them if they do decide to go since you can't spot reduce or spot save. I know it sucks to think about for a…
  • I like to make sweet potato gnocci with sage butter. Made it this Thanksgiving and it was a hit. Also I like them in gratins.
  • I'm a 36DD and I like either Champion or Moving Comfort. I prefer Champion because I like their straps, but either one will hold them down!
  • If you have a sweet tooth, I think I might have just the thing for you: http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/
  • My vote is for Jillian Michael's Yoga Meltdown and Rodney Yee (who has a ton of DVD's). I have found the ones that I like the most from Gaiam. There's a great store with gear too. But I really like the scenery, music, and editing in the Gaiam videos for yoga. But there are SO many out there. And even if you're not…
  • I've been doing both programs for about 2 weeks now and it's been going really well. I would recommend doing a longer 10 minute stretch after the second workout though! Keep everything loose because you're going to need that range of motion! I decided to start a little later, so I didn't do weeks 1,2, or 3 of Body…
  • You're looking great! I love the bright yellow! Keep it up, you'll be at your goal in no time! :flowerforyou:
  • I like to put things like kale and spinach into smoothies and on my sandwiches/wraps. And I always puree sauce that I make, so I can add a lot of veggies to sauces. Salsa verde (or variations of any green sauce), marinara sauce, cauliflower alfredo, butternut squash mac n cheese, etc. I also like to add them to pasta…
  • Parmesan Cheese Shoes (they don't HAVE to be expensive, but I'm picky about comfort, especially in heels and workout shoes) I agree with Toilet Paper! Bed Sheets Hair Brushes Oil Paints (I am annoyingly specific!) Edit: Coffee! Must have good coffee!
  • Military. Although that might be because I'm married to one of those.
  • It's normally used topically to help with dehydrated skin, mostly in serums. I have pretty dry dehydrated skin. I tried taking it orally to see if it helped (there were claims that it did, but nothing has been proven), and it definitely did for me.
  • I sometimes get that if my form isn't correct or if I'm not flexing my muscles enough. The hip thing happens only on my left side. But again, if I focus on my form and go slower, it definitely helps. I take hyalouronic acid too and that seems to have helped. I take it for my skin more than anything, but my joints do feel a…
  • The beachbody recovery shake? Nah. I'm doing Beta right now (along with another program) and I'm doing fine as long as I get a good stretch in and drink lots of water. I do like to have a protein shake immediately after my workouts though. Chocolate in almond milk so it's like having a chocolate milk treat!
  • Yep! Weight loss and hair loss does tend to happen. Mine was a bit worse because of the BC that I was on, but it definitely got worse when I started losing weight. I haven't stopped it completely, but I have found ways to keep it under control. As far as lotions and potions, I make a scalp oil that I use every night (kind…
  • MFP set my calories at 1200, but it is so difficult to do that. I do a few things. First of all, I go for a range between 1200 and 1300. As long as I'm in that range, it's all good. It's nice to have some wiggle room. Second, I eat a lot of veggies. Low calories and fill you up. I try to get 4 to 5 servings in. Calories…
  • A year? That is such a short time for such a huge transformation. Congrats on your success! It's wonderful to hear about your health improvements too. You are a great inspiration!
  • WOW!!!! You have done such a great job both with getting in shape and the bulking! You seem like a naturally slim guy, so to bulk up like that must have taken some serious work! You should be so proud of yourself. Those are some serious fitness transformations. What is that a ten pack? Is that possible? Anyways, great job.…
  • I have this every single morning: 1/2 Banana 1/2 cup mixed Berries 1 cup Kale 1 cup Almond Milk It tastes great, gives me energy before my workout and it's very quick to make. I put the banana, berries, and kale in those individual freezer bags and keep them in the freezer. Then I just take out a bag, blend it with the…
  • I'm also a big breakfast person. Half the reason I workout is so I can eat more through the rest of the day! I like oatmeal and a smoothie preworkout, then a chocolate protein shake with almond milk immediately after. It's still pretty high at around 600 calories, but I get a ton of my fiber, protein, vitamin a, vitamin c,…
  • I have a friend who tried it and lasted about a week. I don't know all there is about it, but from what I've heard about it, it seems very involved and very hard to keep doing. That's the one where you eat almost nothing during the day, a bunch at night, right?
  • Go potty. Your body does a great job of cleansing itself, so there's not need to do anything as drastic as a cleanse or detox. If I am feeling a bit heavy in the tummy, I just eat a few more fruits and veggies and drink my water. And make sure you're getting all your fiber. That did wonders as far as how I felt…
  • I'm about halfway to my goal weight. I'm trying to take pics every 10 lbs. I started at just under 170 (I lost a bit before I joined the site), and am now at just under 150.
  • I've done and am currently doing 2nd round of Body Revolution. I absolutely love the program. I've done 30 DS and Ripped in 30 too, but I definitely prefer the challenge and the weight lifting that's in BR. It's always challenging and it's one of those programs that you can do 4 times in a row and always find a way to make…
  • Great job. You look so slender! And I love the bright lipstick!
  • Fantastic! There's such a difference in your hips and tummy! Great work! You'll be rocking the bikini for sure!
  • Oh man. I have to pick 1 favorite? I can't! Can I pick my top 3? Well I'm going to! Turbo Fire, ChaLEAN Extreme, and Body Revolution. They're all super fun and I'm a big fan of Chalene Johnson and Jillian Michaels. Plus I've seen amazing results from all of them. Fantastic workouts. I have to modify some of the…
