  • I MADE IT !!! 179 as of this morning ... and a week ahead of schedule!!! I am so excitted! This surgery was the best thing I have ever done for myself -- couldnt be happier. :0)
  • at this point it is best to stick with cream soups, yogurt, shakes, and your pureed stuff. if your dr says its ok to move to soft solids you can add egg, refried beans, flakey fish, oatmeal, things that are very easily mashed with a fork. remember to take tiny bites eat slow and chew chew chew or your will be in pain...…
  • hey denis103 ... I was sleeved june 13 too! I have lost 39 (33 since surgery). I do still get tired but feel better when i get in lots of protein and water. Also exercising makes me feel better. Hang in there...everybody keeps telling me it gets better! :0)
  • I don't think what I am dealing with is insomnia.... but i cant go to sleep before 11:30 or later and I am up by 6. I only get about 6 1/2 hours of sleep a night but do fine with it. prior to surgery all i seemed to do was sleep. i still may take a nap on a quiet sunday but i used to sleep the entire weekend away.   • looking at percentage is definitly a better way when comparing to others! you are so right... we are all at different places and started out at different places. wheyou factor in height, age, health, etc... "pounds of loss" can be deceiving and isnt a fair comparison.

  • i had surgery on june 13th. at my 1 week post op he told me to start walking 30 mins a day ( so i go to a gym and use the treadmill so i can track better) i am not supposed to do abs or weights/machines until 4 weeks. oh i also use the pool at the gym for resistance and laps.
