It happens! Pick up, dust off, go for a walk, and start over tomorrow. That's the beauty of MFP...Every day provides opportunity to do it right.

I think it depends on where you are in life. For me, laughter, companionship, sharing common goals, loyalty, honesty & respect. If there is laughter that means everything else is probably right where it needs to be :)

My partner purchased a Chamilia bracelet for me and I now have 7 charms = 70 lbs.... I wear it with enormous pride and love telling people my story! It's also a reminder that my lifetime changes mean I'll keep the weight off and keep my bracelet forever!

I can run. While I'm certainly not at the marathon level, I CAN RUN!! Yippee. A year ago walking left me out of breath and going up hill required breathing exercises :)

I'm 5' even. I weigh 157 and am just starting to fit into a 12. I still feel very big and my goal is 140. I worry I'll still be big then but we'll have to wait and see as 17 lbs might make a difference. All that said, I'm looking much better than when I wore size 22.

Even though I am blond, I think I'd be a chocolate lab like my girl, Ellie :) Without her, I'd not be down almost 70 lbs. She's the most reliable walking partner EVER! She never says "Naw...I don't feel like it". Love my girl.

I can only share my own personal experience. I am shorter (5') and older, and less active. I walk everyday and haven't ventured too often beyond that for 'formal' exercise. At 1200 calories per day and eating back a portion of my exercise, I was losing on average .5 to 1 lb a week. My dietician suggested I up that to 1300…

I sew. I repurpose items from old denims and discarded clothing. ALso cook a lot. Garden in the summer. Fish & hunt too. Keeping busy is key for me.
