  • I only started running seriously a couple months ago. I had my feet and gait examined at a running store. I have the New Balance 1080s, made for neutral runners with narrow feet. Supposedly these are right for me. http://www.newbalance.com.au/New-Balance-1080/WR1080,en_AU,pd.html <--- these ones I generally have weak…
  • I think JM is good at what she does, and her programs are great. But she has become a brand, and her name gets put on lots of crap. JM detox and cleanse? Ugh, no. Jillian Michaels protein powder? Nope. It's low quality. Not worth it. Someone mentioned bodybuilding.com and supplementreviews.com. I used these sites to start…
  • I'm quite please with the current taste of grapes. Can't say I would want my grapes to start tasting like cotton candy. I'm gonna pass on this one. ETA: Wait, is there wine made out of these grapes yet? I'd never pass up a chance to try wine.
  • I don't know, I've never had hat problem. I think groceries stores in my area sell just as much full-fat as low-fat and fat-free yogurts. Lots of organic yogurts too. I guess it depends on the customers where you live, if they don't buy full-fat, the grocer stops selling it. I'm talking about all the yogurts, including…
  • What is limburger? And while I'm at it? what is "sharp cheddar"? Is it the same as aged (old) cheddar? In Canada, we have mild, old, and extra old cheddar. In French it's called doux, fort, extra fort. Fort means strong. I'm just guessing this is why in the US they would call it "sharp" instead of aged/old.
  • I don't eat a lot of cheese, but when I do, it's the stinky kind! For a grilled cheese, good ol' cheddar, mild or old, slices of brie with a slice of ham and a few leaves of baby spinach or green apple slices would be nice. Havarti slice might not be a bad choice either.
  • Add them (any kind!) to pesto sauce on pasta (well any sauce, really) Fry them with tiny pieces of red pepper and maybe tomato, add to rice, bit of lemon juice and cilantro. Gallo Pinto! Best with black beans. Bean salad.
  • I was taking b12 supplements, but it gave me terrible stomach pain, i had to stop taking them. never saw any benefits.
  • I do not like. They are fungus. They taste like fungus. I'll only eat them if they are already there, but I don't ask for them, that's for sure.
  • Yup, you can't bring liquids/gels through security even on domestic flights. I'm pretty sure they wont allow yogurt or hummus. Bring dry snacks in zip lock bags. I've never been to Regina, but I vaguely remember the Calgary airport, and there was a food court... I cant remember too well but I'm sure there was a subway or…
  • My protein goal is only 80 grams a day and I hardly ever reach it! I don't like eating a lot of meat, but I try to add a can of tuna when I can. Sometimes beans, but they are hard on my digestive system and I can't eat them every day. I like the occasional piece of cheese, but I couldn't eat it every day either. Otherwise,…
  • I can't answer your questions, but I have a friend doing a raw diet right now, and she loves it. She says she feels great and stopped getting stomach aches and bloating. Granted, its only been two weeks, but she says she doesn't "enjoy" eating any food anyway, and she prefers the raw veggies. Personally, I love warm,…
  • Not for me. It also predicted I'd lose 2-10 pounds each time I logged, an average of 5 pounds I'd say. Yet 5 weeks later, I've lost NO weight at all lol. I prob have an underlying medical condition though. Or I'm not good at estimating portion sizes...
  • Kale! I had never seen before, but it appeared at my grocery store for the first time last week and I bought some. Tastes just like broccoli, but in leaf form! Easy to put into so many recipes. Love it :)
  • unless there is a serious excess of hairiness, do as you please. I don't have a preference at all.
  • Sounds like maybe endometriosis. or PCOS? Something is up. Either way, this drastic change in your period and not being able to conceive in over a year definitely merits a visit to the doctor.
  • you look fine. the BMI is just a tool, its based on averages, it doesn't actually diagnose anyone with being underweight. 110 lbs for you might be normal, for someone else it's underweight, even if you are the same height. But honestly, how you look is probably not your biggest concern right now. Its ED. I understand you…
  • wow, you're copy and pasting my profile info. ok.... if your trying to suggest chocolate is caffeine, the level of caffeine in chocolate is tiny, especially compare to a redbull. chocolate is an occasional treat, not an addiction to get through the day.
  • I would not touch energy drinks with a ten foot pole. It's crap. I don't need caffeine, I'd rather get by without it.
  • My doctors have told me those blood tests for "food intolerances" are total BS. They don't mean much. Do some research. These "tests" are often scams. If certain foods don't "Agree" with you, do an elimination diet instead. If you have an intolerance to cheese and milk, then do a REAL lactose intolerance test. Also known…
  • the point is not about treating sick animals. the problem is why the animals get sick in the first place. it's because they are crammed together. too many animals, not enough space, the crappy and unhealthy environment they live in promotes disease, and because theres not many so close together, it spreads quickly. so most…
  • First off - steroids? No. Hormones - yes we all have hormones. But cows are injected with GROWTH hormones. These are not their natural hormones, they are extra hormones given to the cow so it grows bigger and faster (more meat faster). In Canada, growth hormones are banned in dairy cows, pigs and poultry, but are used in…
  • Could be IBS, gastritis, an ulcer... a lot of things could cause those symptoms. Look them up on the Mayo clinic website to see if they sound familiar. Could be food interance. Fructose intolerance causes a lot of those symptoms after eating most fruits and some vegetables, or anything with high fructose corn syrup. It's…
  • 1- give a decent amount to my parents, sister, grandparents, charites support 2- buy a nicer condo (an office/workout room would be nice, a nice courtyard) 3-buy a more fuel efficient car (hybrid maybe) 4- get a phd 5-get boobs and other beauty things 6-shopping spree 7- travel more 8- put the rest in the bank and use the…
  • bodybuilding.com has all the reviews you could ever want on every protein powder is existence (not really, but almost!) There is different types of protein used in protein powders. Look up an article online to get all the details on each one, but whey is the most common. Look at the other ingredients. Look at the grams of…
  • I don't know what a "Sonic" is, and I hope I never do! Sounds awful lol. Another reason not to have a TV?
  • I couldn't run in high school. I was too self conscious. I worried about how I looked when I ran (do I run like Phoebe???) how I compared to the other girls, etc. I would get so flustered I'd stop running. Couldn't do it. I learned to hate it. Never ran again. Then in university, I started getting really stressed. I was in…
  • Depends, is this a regular thing? Is it medical related? If its a once in a while thing, not related to a medical reason, I wouldn't be worried. I have days like that too. If I realize I'm really too low on calories, I'll have a smoothie, shake, meal replacement drink... basically something that has nutrients and some…
  • Sadly, I clicked on this one just in case there was some new miracle thigh slimming technique I hadn't heard of, knowing such things do not exist. :( OP, I'm a 5'4, 115 lbs chick, and my thighs are 22-23 inches lol. I think you're okay.
