The same thing has happened to me. I think the main reason was the winter months being so cold and just a bit of seasonal depression. It's taken a few months, but I've FINALLY gotten back on track. What helps a lot is not buying any unhealthy food at all, and watching my spending/budget so that I don't have money for fast…

first thing I thought of when I saw this thread as well :drinker:

Subway is always a god choice, but if you're going for healthy, I would choose the wheat or flatbread. I always skip out on the cheese because, in my opinion, it's unnecessary calories when I'm getting a sauce on it anyway. I usually stick to oil/vinegar or sweet onion, both are lower calorie. If I HAVE to go to McDonalds,…

I'm always hungry, so I eat all the time. I spread out my calories throughout snacks and meals so I don't go much longer than 2 hours without food. Even if I eat big meals, I get hungry shortly after, so I focus on smaller meals and many snacks. I would find a schedule that works with your calorie goal, your schedule and…

I can't wait until fall so I can run through all of the leaves on the ground and kick them, crush them and just soak in all that autumn goodness.

It's great that you want to help out and motivate people, but you have to remember that first and foremost this is YOUR journey and about you! There is no reason to feel bad for deleting those people if they are discouraging you.

Probably smile! Or arms.

:drinker: Here, here. These things take time! It took me 8 months to lose 27 lbs. Granted, I backtracked for a bit and didnt have 100% perfect days, but still, it takes time to see changes. Just keep on going and I know you will see changes!!

It's always upsetting when your friends disappear off MFP :( I'll send you a request right now! I'm on the market for some more people to give/send support to!
-
Once you get in the right mindset, it's going to be a breeze!! Just remember that you CAN do it. It just takes persistance. If you want someone to bother you incessantly via MFP, I'm the girl for you
-
You just have to get into the mindset, "I'm going to do this and nothing and no one is going to stop me, not even BBQ chips." I did that, and I'm on a roll now  Feel free to add me for support, any and all! I love recieving and giving support on MFP

If I went by the weight times 6 for calories, I would only be eating 978 calories a day. If I had to eat that little to lose weight, let's just say I wouldn't have lost any weight whatsoever. On average I eat 1400+ per day, and usually 1600-1800 on days I work out. Granted, I don't have much left to lose and am mainly…

Unlike what others have said, I don't feel the need to be the prettiest in the room. In fact, I accept the fact that "pretty" is a very diverse term meaning different things to different people. Everyone is bias towards their personal preferences. Instead, if I see a specific aspect (such as muscle build) in a girl that I…

Well, when you compliment someone else, what do you expect/appreciate them to say in return? Usually just an honest and sincere "thank you" will suffice. I usually let them know that I really appreciate it and that it was very kind of them to say, but all that's necessary is a thank you. If someone comes up and compliments…
-
Just keep at it! The progress you have made thus far is remarkable! Persistance is the key to nip that last bit of fat you'd like to get rid of  I'm in the same boat right now with my stomach, but with persistance, we can do it!

Usually you're only going to be super sore if you don't stretch enough. Make sure you are holding each stretch for 30 seconds!!! Don't work out the same muscle group two days in a row, but you definitely don't have to wait 2-3 days if your just sore. If you're in PAIN, that's a different story. You may have pulled…

It's just a good way to get a high amount of protein, much needed if you're working out in general, but especially if you're lifting/building muscle. Gotta repair those guns somehow! If you aren't looking for anything terribly specific, I would just go to your local grocery store in the pharmacy/health section they usually…

I try to get 2-4 servings of fruit in a day. Usually it's not too difficult by the time I have breakfast and my first morning snack (saying it like that makes me feel like a Hobbit). The hard part for me is gettin 2-4 servings of veggies in daily. Fruit is a lot easier for me to eat and obtain than veggies.

My weakness is the Hibachi grills. I tend to overeat a lot when I go to those places. I've found, though, if you pre-log what you are going to eat before you go, it usually sets up a nice guideline for you to follow. Only allow yourself to eat what you have already logged. If you go to a buffet, look at what they have, but…

This is why I just don't eat anything that has sugar in it. Hidden or not, I just can't afford to eat anymore because of my obsessive Captain Crunch phase as a child. My hidden sugar storages are much too full.

If these were not in existance, I would be significantly overweight. Sugar-free popsicles are my saviors.

Zumba looks like one of the most outrageous and crazy activities that a person can partake in. But if you let yourself go and focus on the fact that everyone in the class looks like a fool too, it will probably be the most fun you've had working out (if you're a dancing person). The time goes by so much faster than other…

Writers are always the best kind of people. From one author to another.

MFP and running shoes are all I need! I keep it very simple. As long as I can keep track of my food and run, I'll be good to go.
