  • Sounds like some yummy food is in your future! I say opt for high calorie items like nuts, nut butters, avocado, ice cream, pasta etc.
  • I happen to think cashews are TOTALLY worth it. I had them crushed up and on top of my stir fry for lunch <3 <3
  • I wouldn't try and figure something like that out, it would likely only hinder your progress. Calories don't evaporate like water in the sun as far as I know ;)
  • no microwave? Salads Thermos your hot items as per a previous post Wraps Just eat your food cold? I used to eat cold chicken and veggies all the time when I was in a rush.
  • long tall sally!!! everyone needs to buy their shoes from there. I wear a size 12 and they have an amazing selection and reasonable prices considering they carry some big name brands. They also carry up to a size ca.longtallsally.com/c/tall/footwear I always used to be in mens sneakers until I found this store - now I have…
  • Especially when I wake up the next day after a good lifting session. I want to eat EVERYTHING
  • If you do this walking every day for work, I personally wouldnt count it as an added exercise, but I would up my activity level to the one above desk job/sedentary.
  • I got cherry blossoms on a branch running from ankle to mid calf (on the outside of my left calf)
  • 100% agree. This is for no one but you - don't let the fear of other people set you back from reaching your goals. This is not their life, own it, do what you want. People will judge one-another, just remember that judgement can be positive too! (ie: check her out, giving it her all, another day closer to a healthy life!…
  • Unless he leaves the machine covered in sweat when he is done, I see no problem here.
  • activity level plays a part too
  • why not start with telling him how his comments made you feel? If he doesn't know how he hurt you, you can't expect him to apologize or act differently in the future.
  • I am a pretty regular poster and have my diary open to friends so they can see my good days and my bad ones. I like to lift, cardio and I have a love hate relationship. Always up for more friends
  • Normally if I am eating out it is as a treat so I don't stress too much about a light menu. Being vegetarian I tend to have limited options anyway - salad is always a good go to but can get boring. Back in my meat eating days I found the "lightest" item on a menu was almost always the steak sandwich, even beating out…
  • Don't give up - that might just be the last area you lose your fat from, you're doing great too - 33lbs down is awesome!!
  • Lots of water and make sure you eat plenty of fruits/veggies. Coffee can help too, if you like coffee, exercising too! (ever notice a dog always has to poop as soon as you take him for a walk!?!!) I've found Metamucil can help keep you regular if you're still having problems or even if things start swinging in the other…
  • you can sneak in "extra" steps at work and home take more trips to the water fountain (and washroom haha) go see a coworker instead of calling/emailing them park farther away from places you need to go always take the stairs instead of elevator/escalator take the long way back to your desk/office after breaks make more…
  • are you weighing and measuring your foods accurately? You might be surprised that you are eating more than you think. 1000 calories is also really low, if you are weighing/measuring foods you may be nutrient deficient on such a low cal diet - maybe consider a less aggressive approach (1lb/week instead of 2, as example)
  • I had a mild heart attack thinking Mother's Day was this weekend. If it was me I would make it work with what calories I was allowed, or if I am really working on staying on point just skip as much of the junk as possible. Workout to earn more calories? Promise it's not the end of the world
  • I agree - Long Tall Sally! I love their clothes, they are always long enough or even too long! (right?! when have we 5'11" women had pants that were TOO long?!?!) I order online and shop in store. Fabulous clothes, good quality and I have never had an issue with their service. I believe they ship internationally as well.
  • Personally I found bodybuilding.com/fun/the-ultimate-30-day-beginners-guide-to-fitness.html a really great launching point. There are videos for all the exercises, it walks you through the basics of pretty much everything you need to start (nutrition, importance of stretching, rest, cardio, weights, the whole shebang) It…
  • banana. I try and choose foods in their most basic form as often as I can.
  • I find this a nice launching point for beginners as it has a lot of info, links to videos about how to do certain "moves" and gives you all the tools to succeed. bodybuilding.com/fun/the-ultimate-30-day-beginners-guide-to-fitness.html
  • I agree this has been the most useful tool for me and cheapest/most reliable
  • my lunch today is wild rice blend with curried lentils - pinterest is super helpful for recipes, I love it!
  • These are outstanding stories! I love hearing about people not letting their age be an obstacle. Thank you for sharing!!
  • I am with you.
  • oh no! This is so sad :'(
  • I prefer just to have a cup of black coffee, either hot or on ice before to give me an extra jump in my workouts - not a super stim packed approach but I kind of like the idea of avoiding heart palpitations like some people get as side effects from other supplements - works for me, other people might not.
