I tend to slightly undercook meat that I want to reheat later on - that way it doesn't come out dry or overcooked

Hey! I am following her meal plan but not the exercise part - I am kind of doing a hybrid of my own - Clutch meal + Jamie Eason workouts. I just started today and am pretty excited!

you're killing it! Great work :D

Agree.

5'11" here - I eat no less than 1700 calories (those days tend to be inactive couch potato days) I eat a lot more on exercise days (2300+) You should give yourself a few weeks at a higher calorie intake and see how your body adjusts. Try to avoid the scale until the end of your experiment. If you watch the fluctuations you…

That is fantastic! Congrats on the loss!!

I think that the book is fantastic, it gives you tons of different exercises and it breaks them down for beginners. I highly recommend it. I also have found that www.bodybuilding.com has a HUGE database for exercises, for free. Each of the moves they have a breakdown on and all of the ones that i have come across also have…

I opt for cross trainers of any kind when doing that kind of activity, I find they work well compared to my running shoes. Maybe inserts will help?

This 100% - water and decaf tea/coffee are logged.

I tried the Vega Vanilla performance protein. It was the most disgusting thing that I have ever tasted. It had a greenish ting to it and tasted like dirt and grass shaken up. YUM, not.

There are a couple that I really love, I have a shake almost every morning for breakfast. Mocha Protein Shake 1 banana 2 tsp instant coffee 1 scoop chocolate whey isolate 1/2 tbsp natural peanut butter ice cubes 1 cup unsweetened almond milk 1 cup water Spinach Protein Shake 1/2 banana 2 cups spinach 1 scoop vanilla whey…

I did this just before Christmas hoping it would help me stay on track, even if it was just marginally. So far I have managed not to gain, and even keep an additional lb off. I think it's great and so far is doing the trick, even if it's just a mental thing - I don't like seeing 0 so I am trying to push and make that…

bump* I love the positive encouragement here and am going to check out the links/info

I think being honest about what you are eating and tracking all of it will help you get a true idea of where you got to where you did. I know it helped me. I do know that you really have to make sure you look at the calories on a pack too and not just rely on the first entry that MFP gives you - not all foods are based on…

I would recommend following her meal plan that she lays out in the program and not worrying so much about the calories - instead focus on portions and quality of food. She does a great job of laying out what types of foods and how to group them for each meal to give the best results.

There are a ton of moments for me like this still... where you don't think that they would make food that bad for you... but then it is... I have realized that unless you make most things yourself or are VERY particular and practically study the lable you are likely to be surprised in an unpleasant way. I like to think of…

I think that Bob is just upset, and taking it out the wrong way, becuase he lost the first weigh in .... poor guy, lol. I think it's great that the red team won - just proves that you don't have to be trained by Bob to succeed! Have to agree, lot's of drama, thank goodness for PVR, just fast forward through the garbage…

I am 5'11 and my man is 6'1, we've been together 3.5 years, he loves that I am tall and always talks it up with his friends who date short women. I tried dating short - personally I didn't like feeling like if we got robbed I would have to protect us, HAHA! I've tried dating tall too - 6'8 wrestler, good thing his…

I am 5'11" and have a collection of heels - most people look at me funny when I wear my platforms, "don't you think you are tall enough already???!!!" I hear all the time... my friend stuck up for me once and said, "she does it becuase she has legs up to her armpits, don't be jealous!" Now that is a great response!!!! :)

30lbs is awesome!! Great job

I think it would be smarter to cleanse with whole foods...lots of fresh fruit and veggies as your majority diet, sprinkled with whole grains and lean meats like chicken and fish. If you cut out the processed items it will be just as beneficial and this way you'll still get all of your vitamins and nutrients and not feel so…

It's really hard, I agree... knowing your health is at risk I think will give you a lot of motivation, like you said you're already a few days into a better lifestyle. My family wasn't on board when I started either... so I started off with always making sure I had my meals planned, or cooked entirely seperately. It was…
