  • Go for it and then do a 15 minute walk at brisk pace :-)
  • Yes if you exercise you still should aim for 1200 net because this still leaves you in the same position as if you did not exercise. That said if you have done lots of exercise and burnt lots of calories it's not always possible to get to 1200 net but if this is occasional it will not hurt.
  • But if you allow for a bar in your daily calorie intake it doesn't matter does it?
  • Timex do a really good cheap monitor and you set it for Min Max heart rate plus current weight (note you must re-set as you lose weight) Then you must remember to take off the BMR calories (see how BMR works by looking it up on the web)

  • Timex do a reasonable priced one. you can set your weight and heart rates (lower & Upper) As long as you take off your BMR calories before you enter the total ( look at web to see how to apply BMR because you have to multiply it by a correction factor depending on your weight) then this will really help Good luck

  • What?? please explain why does it matter if you post your weight loss on the day you weigh yourself? As long as it's the same day every week and around the same time it's valid and doesn't affect reporting on MFP at all. You might have put weight on or lost weight by the Monday so it's not a true record.
  • You will be surprised how many calories you burn just walking out in the fresh air and much better than being stuck in a sweaty gym. As you get fitter get some leg weights and and hand held weights(plus a spare set to go in a backpack just to make it a bit harder )
  • Not sure this is a healthy option eating too few calories can put the body into starvation mode and the weight loss will switch off then anyway. Most people need more than salad as a healthy option
  • Get yourself a heart monitor it will let you know how may calories you burn doimg exercise and then you take off calories for your BMR and you have the amount you have burnt off

  • You will not really see much difference until you have lost 7 to 14 lbs. Don't dispair could be water retention to or as someone suggested they can "shrink" when you wash them. You need to make sure you have set your goals correctly this can also make a difference as to actual daily intake. Some weeks you may not lose but…
