the walther P22 is a great little Semi-Auto 22. I also like the Ruger Mark series. I had Ruger single 6 in 22/22mag and it was a blast to shoot as well. I can't speak to the Ruger SR22 but Ive heard they are nice too , also the Sig Mosquito. 22 pistols are fun to have around.

How far to get home? Urban or rural? Ive been thinking of packing a Get Home weapon in our 2 primary vehicles. Im not convinced a shotgun is ideal. Before you get sold on the .300 Blackout take a look at the 6.8spc or better yet the 6.5 Grendel the ballistics on the 6.5 are absolutely fantastic.

Id recommend a .17 HMR or a very nice high end air rifle. The air rifle is a great alternative to .22 and great for plinking and taking small game. at 1200 FPS its hard to deny the cost effective nature of the modern air rifle

Springfield XDs 9mm. I carry the XDs in .45 and can assure you an amazing weapon with great accuracy and reliability. Lots of rounds through it and never even a FTF or FTE.
