  • My husband and I started Monday of last week. I have always HATED cardio, even knowing that it's what I needed to do to get these last 30 lbs off. For some reason, though, I LOVE Insanity! Maybe it's the athletic movements, or maybe it's because I'm doing it with my husband, but either way I LOVE IT and we're sticking to…
  • This is great advice, and what I need to hear. I am always second guessing myself because we're always bombarded with tons of conflicting information. I think I'll restart the P90X, doing what I can of it, and just doggedly stick to it for the 90 days, monitor my results and then reevaluate at the end of the cycle. I've…
  • Bummer. Hoping to get more advice. :( That's probably what I get for posting at almost 10:00 at night! :)
  • Thanks so much! That was my way of thinking, too, but it's really good for me to hear that others think it's a good idea, too. Upping calories after cutting them back is always a stressful decision! :ohwell:
  • My mom saw me on Skype today and said, 'Wow! I can really tell you're smaller!" She's not one to dole out the compliments either! Very encouraging!
  • Thanks for all the replies! The encouragement is well needed and well appreciated!!! :flowerforyou:
  • Thanks! I was excited to share my personal success story, but also to encourage people to not be DIScouraged by that stupid scale. I've spent so much time on my journey being controlled by that thing and I hope others can break free, too!!
  • I have found out the hard way that I am, apparently, very particular about my greek yogurt! :) I only eat plain, as I add in my own goodies at home. And, I ONLY like Greek Gods Traditional. I tried Oikos because it was cheaper, didn't like it. I tried Greek Gods Poseidon, because it was fat-free, YUCK! So, it's Greek Gods…
  • A lot of times the problem is that your exercise calories could be overestimated. I think eating back half is a good idea. That way, you have a cushion for error but you are also eating more to ensure your body is getting the fuel that it needs.
  • @tonilizzy -- You're just all around cute! :) Edited because I spelled your name wrong! :(
  • I have the exact same issues. I have my husband hide the scale. Literally. And once a month he gets it for me and I weigh myself. I have even tried to find it, my obsession is so bad, but, luckily, he's very cunning! :)
  • Coffee with just a touch of half&half and about 2 tsp. Stevia in the raw. Tea with a touch of honey and a generous splash of apple cider vinegar.
  • Just goofing off with my husband after picking him up from his Army Basic Training graduation. Honestly, it's one of the few I have since I'm usually the picture taker! :)
  • I've been "smoke-free" for about three years now. It's definitely hard at first, but the cravings will eventually go away. It's only once in a blue moon that I crave a cigarette now, and it's not a very intense craving. If you don't mind me asking, how are you quitting? Cold turkey, patch, Chantix?
  • Bend It Like Beckham Center Stage Mama Mia!
  • Results day! A total of 7.75 inches lost, even distributed throughout my body. The largest losses being 1.50 inches each around my bust and hips. I'm down SIX pounds and, probably the most important to me, I am down a total of 3.36% body fat! It feels REALLY good to be making progress and to be changing my body…

  • Looks amazing! Can't wait to try it. . . .AFTER the kids go to bed! :)
  • Great attitude! I really had to think about things this when I was experiencing an eight month long "plateau". It's in quotations because I wasn't suffering from an actual plateau but from bad eating and no exercise. Sure, I didn't gain weight (which is definitely a plus) but I wasn't losing either, and I was wrongfully…
  • The middle of my back and my quads are SO sore today! It feels great! :) Like an achievement. This is probably the sorest I've been during the whole 30 days.

  • So I completely spaced out and stayed on Level 2 for a couple extra days. (Probably because I LOVED it) But I finally tried Level 3 today. It didn't bump Level 2 out of being my favorite, but I definitely like it! I love feeling different areas of my body getting worked. Just for the fun of it, I tacked on some of my…

  • The easiest thing I could think of is adding some nuts into your salads. Almonds, pecans or even sunflower seeds add a nice crunch and some added calories without them being just empty calories.
  • I'm with you! We just moved to TX and there's ALWAYS a horrible bottleneck from people waiting to get closer spots. They'll wait and block a whole lane of traffic when the person is just starting to put $300 worth of groceries into their trunks. I can't believe that EVERYONE who does it down here (and it seems like it's…
  • I went through tootsie roll pops like crazy. I know that with dieting that may not be the best thing, but maybe you could use it just to get through the transition. The suckers seemed to really work with me because it let me still have that mouth-to-hand movement that I did with smoking. That habit was just as hard for me…

  • I did it once a day until I reach the point where I felt like I could keep going at the end of the workout. I'm on Level 2 and if I'm not spent at the end, I'll pop back and do some level 1 work, too. It's not really a "plan" that I have, mostly I just base it on how I feel and, to be honest, how the kids are behaving at…
  • I have pretty much my entire back tattoo'd and the one I just got on my ribs hurt worse than all of the sittings for my back. It's definitely not comfortable, but the pain isn't unbearable.
  • This. I agree with this ^^^. It's just incendiary journalism. I breastfed. I did not nor would I even consider breastfeeding into the toddler years. However, that is the choice of the parent. And seeing a Times cover or reading a Times article isn't going to change my opinion. As to if I am "Mom enough" that is a put down…
  • Thanks so much! I'm going to try it tomorrow for breakfast! :flowerforyou:
  • I started level 2 yesterday. I like it A LOT more than Level 2. I feel like I can do the exercises better and I just feel like I'm getting a better workout. I also like the cardio segments a lot better in Level 2. I've known a lot of people that don't like all of the plank exercises, but I enjoy them. For some reason, I…
  • Do you just eat it cold in the morning or do you heat it up? I have all the ingredients and would like to try it out! :) Thanks!
  • I "Fry" two eggs in a small amount of cooking spray. When they're almost finished, I add in a half of a tomato, sliced into two. Sometimes I will also eat that with a wedge of laughing cow light (garlic and herbs.) This really seems to keep me full and satisfied. Before my "lifestyle change" I wasn't a breakfast eater, but…
