  • Good morning ladies!!! I'm 5' even (although recently the doctor said I was 5'1.. lol) Anyway... I have struggled all my life on and off.. yo-yo-ing. I have about 25lbs to lose before I will reevaluate and see if I can lose more. BMI charts say I need to lose 60, but I don't always agree with them because I don't think I…
  • Hello.. I'm 37 yr old mom of 2 girls. I'm looking to lose about 30lbs and would love some support from fellow mom's and I'll support you as well!
  • I'm only 5ft... MFP recommends 1200 calories a day when I had it set for losing 2lbs a week. I changed it up a little bit ago to losing 1lb a week, and it jumped to 1300 calories a day. 1600 sounds like a lot compared to what I have been eating.
  • Hi all.. I finished Phase 1 and I'm away for the weekend so I took Saturday (today) as a rest day. We are traveling home tomorrow and I'll start Phase 2 tomorrow night. We leave on Friday for vacation, so that will be my rest day. Long drive about 9 hrs first day. Then some sightseeing and then another 6 hours. then a…
  • i'm in week 3 and just finished my cardio day. I'm headed to a local market with my kids, so there will be some added walking/steps in today. I'm not losing weight.. and mentally I'm trying to be ok with that. I keep saying my clothes are fitting better, but I made the mistake not to start taking measurements when I…
  • I haven't updated in a while.... Just did Phase 1 Week 3, day 2 today. my abs still hurt from yesterday. I got on the scale.. weight it up.. but I know I'm stronger! I know that I'm building muscle.. but man I'm having a hard time ignoring that number on the scale. I leave for vacation in 2.5 weeks and Ill make it through…
  • I started about 3 weeks ago, but I'm counting this as week 2 because I got sick and off track. Like many of you... I struggle with water intake. I have a 50 min commute to work, I'm great in the morning and drink about 32 oz on the way to work... Then once I get there... I forget to drink! Sounds so silly to me... How do I…

  • I was shocked to find out that there was NOT a gym at the hotel! I would have been able to do the JMBR workshouts in my hotel room, but I forgot my portable DVD player. I got my exercise in through walks and one or our conference attendees did a "bootcamp" workout once during the conference. that was fun. I was doing great…
  • Hi all... I started today with workout 1. Even my 6 yr daughter got into it. I loved the first workout... Tough, but I like her commentary! Lol. I had a lot of success with her program several years ago and lost 30lbs. I missed the circuits and knew it would work for me again but I needed the motivation. Just reading the…
  • Hi all, I just joined today. I don't tend to join groups on MFP, but as I start JMBR, I know I need more support. A quick intro. I'm a mom of 2 DD (ages 10 & 6), a wife, I work full time and I'm 36 yrs young. :). I'm only 5' and weigh 175.... I don't have the body type that I will ever get down to 120 or 130, my goal is…
  • Today is my first day using my fitbit flex. I thought I set it up last night to track my sleep, but it didn't work, so I'll try again tonight. I have a desk job, so I'm trying to get up and be more active today. I just got my first badge for walking 5,000 steps.. it very exciting! feel free to add me:…
  • Love the idea of a mid-march goal... my 36th birthday :) I have about 25-30lbs to lose total, so I mid-march goal for me would only be around 10-15 lbs (a pound a week). Hubby and I are planning a cruise in July for our anniversary.. and I would love to be at a good healthy weight by then. feel free to add me if you want…
  • Hi all, I'm a mom of 2 daughters (9 & 6) and 35..... I've been a MFP member for a long time, but fell of the wagon... I'm starting over. I just got the fitbit flex and I'm hoping that offers me some extra motivation. As a mom, I struggle with providing good meals to my kids, being a good example with exercise... but also…
  • It looks like your post got lost. I'm a first time marathon runner too (October 23rd!) and using the same program. In talking with some of my friends about my own training schedule that got a little screwy, they advised me to only do 1, 20 mile run and not mulpitle. Their fear was that burn out... so maybe repeating 14 &…
  • I've been running since January 2010 and was looking for some running groups and came across this one. I've done 2 half marathons and love the half over a 5K! I also did the flying pig in Cincy (always good to see another flying pig on the message boards!)... what a great race! I'm training for my next half in Erie PA...…
  • Looks like I found this group a little late. I have ran 2 half marathons, Erie pa and the Cincinnati flying pig.. I decided to take the plunge into a full marathon because I felt so good after both halfs. I prefer the half marathon over 5ks and 10k. I'm so nervous about the full in October, ill be doing the International…
  • Completed Level 1 day 1 today... I'm feeling pretty good. It was challenging, but the only part of me that felt like it was going to die was my arms (my biggest area of improvement). I'm curious if any of the runners out there are also runnning while doing 30DS? I completed a 1/2 marathon back on 5/1, have been continuing…
  • I'm in.. I own 30DS and will start it.. I did it last summer, but did the whole thing (not th 30 day progression).. but then began training for a half marathon, so I stopped 30DS... SO.. I totally need to tone up and can definitely shred some pounds. Looks like a lot of people are on this tread.. hoping I don't get lost in…
  • I'd love to join too... I'm 5' nothing... and currently weigh 155... while I'm short, i don't ever see myself getting into the 120 range, for me personally I don't think it is healthy.. I have a bit of a stocker build I think. My goal is 140.. so 15 more pounds. I lost 35 pounds over the last 2 years, but have been stuck…
  • I think your freaking out too soon... did you have a lot of sodium yesterday.. Everyone's weight fluxuates by a few pounds throughout the day. Drink lots of water today, and then try weighing in again in a few days or wait another week. You cannot let yourself get stressed out over 1 pound. Also, have you measured…

  • Thank you kickrz for responding... I guess going through the boards this morning made me realize that is what I was doing wrong. I guess I didn't understand what the net calories meant, so thank you for the clarification! I will open up my diary, although this week was crazy at work, and I didn't document much. I'll be…
  • Hi, I think you need to take it 1 step at a time. I have lost 35 pounds so far, and while I hated exercising at first, now I love it! I just have to remember to change it up a little. I love running, but when I need a break from that, I find something else to do. I have been using the mobile app for about a month or so,…
  • WOW.. I guess I have been doing everything wrong. I have been maintaining 1200 calories, even though I run abough 4-5 times a week and am training for my 2nd half-marathon. This must be why I'm so tired and stuck at the same weight. I'm new to MFP, and have about 15 pounds to lose. I previously lost 20 pounds on the…
