I'm Amber. I'm looking to lose about 35lbs. I gained ten pounds at my new job and at least would like to get that off. I will be anyone's friend, I'm not at all picky unless you're a stalker or something

Thanks! I'm happy to see that the overall obsession with your metabolism is worthless. It makes weight loss and calorie considerations a lot easier for me.

140?

I am :/

I fit your description almost exactly with height/weight. Are you judging obesity by the body fat reading? 140 at 5'6" isn't usually considered obese, based on BMI.

I'm in Connecticut. I'm looking for both developer and IT support roles. I have experience in both fields but think I would prefer to stick with IT with computer diagnostics and repair. Aries: Thank you for your advice! Do you hire for the tech field? I'm just wondering if you've ever had that type of 'unique' resume come…

I use the old Kindle without the keyboard (not paperwhite) because the contrast of the bright background kills my eyes. I love my Kindle, and I also like that I can put my own text files and things on there.

Tsalagi and Italian, nice to meet you all.

Yeah, I notice that too. We eat lots of corn and rice, and eat dinner really late. Not a great combo!

This upcoming year will be my last!

I'm a little disturbed by how vicious some of these replies are. Aren't we all supposed to be adults, here?

I feel the exact. same. way. and was actually looking for posts in the forums about this yesterday. I always feel like I've grown 10lbs overnight on my period, which isn't ever true, but I definitely feel like it! I have a good feel for my body during this time and tend not to change my habits too much during it, it's just…

I was hoping that was a joke...

University of Connecticut... and I kind of hate it there. :x

Hello fellow college kid! :)

Maybe this can help you out? I don;t know too much about the topic offhand. http://vegandietguy.com/are-soba-noodles-healthier-than-spaghetti/

You could say that about any "weight loss aid", haha.
-
Right. So I can't say if it's the shakes or not. They could easily just be a scam.

Well in order to answer your actual question, my family down south swears by Shakeology. They love that stuff. They are all noticeably thinner and healthier, but they also do exercise regimens and eat healthy. However I do agree with Maria, personally, in that they're way too expensive for the results.

Congratulations on your success :)

I can be shy about it, but if someone notices I won't hide it. I also don't like the term 'dieting.' I always say I'm trying to eat healthier. If they ask why I'll say I want to lose weight and feel better. That simple for me. I like the idea of bringing prepared meals when you go out to eat, but wouldn't the restaurant be…

50 squats down for me.

I don't like it either. I've tried different flavors and nope, nothing. I always regret spending the money.

Hey well, congratulations! I'm sure you're excited. You can definitely reach your goal if you stick to it, so good luck!
