  • LOVE F2fradio. I've adjusted my eating to follow their plan also. I get hung up on my activity level though. I don't know whether I am light, moderate or active! My BMR is 1915, so I'm eating around 2000 plus my exercise calories (about 3/4 of them). I hope that will work. It's certainly more food than just MFP was…
  • My mom will help herself to a big bowl of Cheez-Its stating they are healthy because they are baked and not fried. Then later she'll have a snack of Cheetos, her treat for having had that healthy bowl of Cheez-Its earlier in the day.
  • I highly recommend you listen to the fat2fitradio podcasts. They discuss this issue often. Great information! You will most likely see a small increase at first when you increase your calories - and don't just start eating at the higher level right off the bat, wean yourself up to it. 100-200 calories more a day until you…
  • I just got this app last weekend and it was fun to watch the map and stats as I walked through the neighborhoods. It seemed to drain my phone battery really fast though.
  • This is the same process I used.
  • Wow. Amazing. Fantastic. Inspiring!
  • You could totally turn these into a cute little skirt for yourself!! Good for you! You look fantastic!
  • I also wanted to say thank you to everyone else who shared experiences and commiserated with me. I'm not even remotely close to giving up, but still so frustrated all the same. I remind myself daily that I already look 100 times better and FEEL 1000 times better than where I began, and that keeps me going when the…
  • Totally change your workout. It seems that cardio is your main stay and if you protein intake isn't .8 grams per pound of body weight, then you're catabolizing muscle which lowers your BMR. Do cardio no more than 45-60 min max and make strength training your focus now. Lift first then cardio. Do basic compound movements…
  • The only ones I've had are the Premier Nutrition ones. They are ready to drink (which the thought of grossed me out at first, but with four kids I didn't want to be messing with a blender every day either...then they'd all be harrassing me for smoothies. LOL) Costco has a really good price on them. They taste like Slimfast…
  • My only experience with protein shakes are with the Premier Nutrition ones - I get them from Costco. Now granted, I haven't been drinking them that long - maybe three months or so? - but I think they are just fine.
  • Yes, I have been lately. I usually only drink them after a workout, though will occassionaly drink one at night if I'm low on calories and/or protein for the day. But the last week or so I've been craving them sporatically. Icy cold chocolately goodness :)
  • You should never eat below your BMR. A good rule of thumb is to multiply your BMR by 1.2 (that's 20% over BMR) for the minimum number or calories to eat. Take a listen to the fat2fitradio podcasts. Very good, solid, info on losing weight and keeping it off.
  • Incredible and inspiring!!!
  • You are looking great!! Good going!!
  • I swear, I'm not really stalking your post. Here's a thread you might find helpful - http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/301177-bodybugg-body-media-fit-questions-thread
  • No, I don't weigh gains. I have been in a constant state of calorie deficit since January, I know the little gains I have are not from increasing fat - so I disregard them. If I were to ever fall off the wagon and gain five, ten, whatever pounds then I'd log it --- but that's never gonna happen.
  • Oh, and you will get the most accurate information by wearing 24/7. I've found that it underestimates exercise, by quite a lot. It's basically worthless for bike and elliptical (you can move it to your calf for those activities, but it will still be low by about 30-40%), it underestimates my Jillian DVD workouts by about…
  • I have BMF, which is similar. After wear it for awhile you'll find that you are in the same range for calorie burn for most days of your normal activity and so you'll find with some time what your normal calorie intake should be. I've been wearing mine since March and I can now predict what my calorie burn is pretty…
  • Awesome!!! You are so close to being out of the 200s!! Whoohooo!
  • Even with surgery you will need to change the habits that have made you and keep you fat. It's not a magic spell that will make you and keep you thin - you will have to eat moderately, exercise ---- the SAME things that if you do on your own will make you thin. 227 is what I weigh now. I can't imagine considering surgery…
  • Thought of another one... the low-fat cinnamon swirl coffee cake at Starbucks. I'd have that once in awhile - it's so good! I thought I was being so virtuous because it was low fat. Then when I started here I looked up the calories, it's well over 300, I don't remember exactly, but like 360. As much as a donut. Blech.…
  • bread with dinner - often garlic bread, not tempted by that anymore. regular ice cream... I just look at the calories for a tiny 1/2c serving and it suddenly doesn't look so tempting. LOL I'll treat myself to frozen yogurt once in awhile, just as tasty and no guilt! orange juice
  • it's not quite 3pm and I've already had 50oz. and just refilled my bottle for the third time. I usually get close to a gallon a day in. I didn't workout today though, so it'll be a bit less than usual. :drinker:
  • Breakfast is important to get your metabolism fired up for the day. If cereal wasn't sounding good, try yogurt, oatmeal, heck even a sandwich! I got very fat not from overeating constantly. I got fat from never eating breakfast (because I never felt hungry in the morning), rarely eating lunch, and then eating one big meal…
  • Yup. I am on a prescription Vitamin D for a severe deficiency. From what I've been reading over the last several months, MOST Americans are deficient. And even if you are in a sunny location you are not "safe" from being deficient. For unknown reasons people are not absorbing enough Vitamin D naturally (from the sun) any…
  • Probiotics, yay! During my last pregnancy (that kiddo is now 2) I had massive digestive and stomach upset. This went well beyond nausea... my symptoms mirrored gall bladder attacks perfectly, actually. After the birth I felt much better, but about once every two weeks or so I'd have a bout again -- massive stomach cramping…
  • I am experiencing exactly the same thing. I'm going on week 4 of it. I wish I had some advice for you, but I'm at a total loss. :(
  • Have you been exercising?
  • Amazing! Your progress sounds so great!
